Walton Goggins, born November 10, 1971 in Birmingham, Alabama, is an American actor who played the role of Venus Van Dam on the FX original series Sons of Anarchy. Making his debut on the episode "Orca Shrugged" in the series' fifth season, Walton plays the role of a transgender prostitute. Over time, he became an ally of SAMCRO, and a "close friend" of Tig Trager. The two eventually formed a romantic relationship, despite his admitted complex gender identity and Tig's outlaw life. Playing a recurring role through the series' sixth and seventh seasons, he was last seen in the series' finale episode, "Papa's Goods", in the series' seventh, and final, season.

He is best known for his starring roles in FX series The Shield and Justified. He worked with Sons of Anarchy creator Kurt Sutter on The Shield.
