Well.... that was pretty hardcore. Setting the rest of the episode aside, at the end we see a young boy (Nero's cousin's son) using one of the guns Jax had the club give Nero’s crew last season in a school shooting. That's a pretty bold move, and a pretty bold statement on top of it. We watch SOA - somewhat disconnected from reality - because *most* of us don't live in areas where these type of interactions are going down, and when they do, we never see or hear the whole story. But when you're talking about trafficking weapons, drugs, etc., they/it all has to end up somewhere. This isn't always in the hands of the "bad guys" or the "good guys" (depending whose point of view you're observing from), and this is a startling peek into one of the dark(er) sides of this theme. As I said, it was a bold move, and I commend Sutter for touching on that subject.
Back to the rest of the goings-on, is Clay really flipping on the MC? (Is it a trick?) Did Jax really just have sex with another woman behind Tara's back? (I'm trying to like you, bro, but c'mon!) Will Jax really have Tig killed to appease Pope's peeps? Is the rest of the MC just going to let Bobby sort of bow-out? What kind of fallout will there be, if any, from the law or from Nero as a result of the school shooting, or was that included just to make us "think" about the collateral impact of the main storyline?
As the American football legend Vince Lombardi might say, "What the hell's going on around here?!"
