Soledad is the leader of the Lobos New Generation Cartel on Mayans MC, a spinoff of the FX original series Sons of Anarchy. Played by Mexican actress and comedian Selene Luna. Soledad makes her debut in the season four episode "Self Portrait in Blue Bathroom"; playing a recurring role throughout the same and following season.

Biography[]

Soledad is the leader of the Lobos New Generation Cartel (LNG), (formerly Lobos Sonora Cartel). A fierce rival of the Galindo Cartel. LNG made swift and powerful moves during the Galindo Cartel's weakest moments and took over a lot of their territory under El Banquero's lead and with assistance from the Mayans Motorcycle Club. Her brother, El Banquero was the previous leader before she had him murdered. Soledad disapproved of her brother's erratic ways and the two struggled for control of the cartel, their relationship was very fraught. Soledad is intelligent, cunning and has big ambitions for the future of the cartel. She struggles to get the respect she feels she deserves due to being a disabled woman. She knew that previously she must tread carefully around her brother as people will always side with him.

As Soledad begins to disagree more with El Banquero and after he threatens to take control of the cartel by force, Soledad resorts to drastic action to regain control, she begins to work with Miguel Galindo, former leader of rival cartel, the Galindo Cartel, in an attempt to use his knowledge and contacts to get back on top and force her brother out. She is eventually successful, employing Luisa "Adelita" Espina to assassinate her brother.

Once in charge of the powerful organisation, Soledad struggles to cement herself in the narco history books. Miguel even goes as far as telling her that her own men respect her. The relationship the LNG also had with the Mayans breaks down, leaving Soledad to try and pick up the pieces, the only way she has ever known.

Season 4[]

"Self Portrait in Blue Bathroom"[]

Soledad scolds her brother, El Banquero for not wanting to see their mother while he still can, she is dying. He affirms that he was busy, many of Galindo's men joined the LNG after the disbandment of the Galindo Cartel and he needs to make sure there are no traitors. Soledad also berates Banquero for only having one accountant who is in charge of all LNG financials, a man named Randall. Banquero wants to smuggle him from the US over to Mexico as he is currently wanted by the government. Banquero tells Soledad that the Mayans Motorcycle Club will be handling the transport of Randall to Mexico or they will pay dearly.

Soledad can later be seen caring for her sick mother.

"Death of the Virgin"[]

Banquero is once again receiving a lecture from Soledad who seems to be much more level-headed than him. She doesn't blame the Mayans for what they did to Randall, they killed him after discovering he was a paedophile and that not supplying product to the club is only hurting the LNG. Banquero insists that what the Mayans did is a declaration of war and he will continue to not supply them with anything. Banquero also seems sad when Soledad mentions that their very sick mother will be dying soon.

"The Righteous Wrath of an Honorable Man"[]

Soledad watches on solemnly as her mother's bed is stripped. She has finally passed away.

Banquero finally speaks to Soledad, he insults her for her disabilities and soon gets aggressive, he tells her that she is no longer in charge as was their father's request, he is now in charge.

Soledad, knowing that she needs allies or she will lose control of the cartel, makes a play to begin work with Miguel Galindo, former leader of the Galindo cartel who is thought to be dead. She has him kidnapped and introduces herself to him.

"The Calling of Saint Matthew"[]

Soledad is able to convince Miguel to come and work for the LNG and wants to revitalise connections between the LNG and the Mayans. Miguel is ordered to invite Marcus Alvarez, leader of the Mayans to a warehouse for a meeting to discuss a business proposal. Soledad arrives with Miguel and meets Alvarez along with Ezekiel "EZ" Reyes, the Vice President of the Mayans Santo Padre charter.

Upon realising that EZ and Miguel know each other, and there may possibly be some bad blood, Soledad inquires if their relationship will be a problem for the business, Alvarez brushes this aside.

Miguel explains to Alvarez and EZ the new deal would “challenge the belief that brutality and profit need to co-exist.” Soledad wants to dramatically increase the amount of product sold by the Mayans immediately. Miguel believes the Mayans can handle this and is ready to become the liaison between the cartel and the club. He’ll work directly with Alvarez since they have a long-standing relationship. Alvarez agrees to consider the deal and Soledad suggests he do so quickly. She continues saying that El Banquero is unaware of this new partnership and he will be dealt with.

"When the Breakdown Hit at Midnight"[]

Wanting to finally rid the LNG of Banquero, Soledad enlists the held of Luisa "Adelita" Espina to assassinate him and she also joins the partnership after successfully carrying out this task .

Season 5[]

"I Hear the Train A-Comin"[]

Mayans Santo Padre head to the meeting with Soledad and Miguel, in an attempt at peace after the entire heroin stash was burned by an unknown assailant. Soledad is incredibly unimpressed by Presidente Ezekiel "EZ" Reyes' attempt at reconciliation, seeing as her men are already armed to the teeth with the latest military grade weaponry. Soledad and her enforcers leave.

"Lord Help My Poor Soul"[]

Miguel and Soledad meet with Eduardo Villar-Fuentes, a seemingly rival cartel leader to discuss a partnership. Eduardo is very hostile and he surprises the pair when he mentions that he knows the pair are in a shadowy partnership with Lincoln Potter and the US Government. Miguel admits that indeed, they have been sent by Potter but if they all band together, they will finally be free from the government who only control them if they are at war with each other. Miguel tells Eduardo they must play smart and forgive each other of their past bloodshed and unite. Eduardo outstretches his hand, agreeing to partner with the LNG.

"I See the Black Light"[]

Soledad, Jameson and Miguel walk through a drug house owned by the LNG, there are two dead men inside. Soledad mentions that Miguel shook Eduardo's hand and less than 24 hours later, one of her men was left dead in the same restaurant that they met Eduardo in and now this has happened. Miguel tries to reason with her that there is no proof Eduardo was behind the slayings in the drug house. Miguel hisses to Soledad that nobody has bothered to even inform her of what happened in the house, insinuating that her men don't respect her. He says he will talk to Eduardo but Soledad refuses, saying that the conversation is hers' now.

Offscreen later that day, Soledad seemingly contracts Luisa to kill Eduardo for her.

"I Want Nothing but Death"[]

Potter is busy laying into Soledad and Miguel for having Eduardo murdered after he told them to make a peace treaty with him. Potter reminds them it’s all about reining in the chaos and killing Eduardo isn’t how you accomplish that.

Soledad insists Eduardo broke their deal first, and Potter realizes Miguel held back information. Potter informs Soledad that the Mayans hit the cookhouse, not Eduardo, but Miguel insists they don’t know for sure.

"My Eyes Filled and Then Closed on the Last of Childhood Tears"[]

Soledad and Jameson arrive at a cash drop off point. Luisa is there. Soledad reminds her that she killed all the family she had left and that she doesn't trust her. Soledad then announces that she knows that Potter leveraged her family to come and work for the LNG; because of that, she will set her free. She must kill one more person, by midnight tonight, and then she is free. Jameson hands her a dossier.
