The Mayans Motorcycle Club, Santo Padre charter Clubhouse is located within the 'Romero Brothers Scrap' yard. In Santo Padre, California on Mayans MC, a spinoff of the FX original series Sons of Anarchy.
History[]
It is unknown who exactly owns the property that the clubhouse is built on. It can be assumed that they have some relation to the club but nothing is certain. The Templo building was constructed probably some time after Santo Padre began using the clubhouse as their own. This would have been around 2013-2014 as this is when the charter was first established.
At some point around 2018, Ezekiel "EZ" Reyes began to live in a trailer on the property, as he had just been released from prison and was a Prospect for the club.
In 2022 the Mayans Civil War occurred. This caused the clubhouse to undergo renovation to repair a lot of damages. This included walls, windows, various cameras being installed on the property and the external gate.
There has been much bloodshed on the property.
- In 2020, Mayans Tucson member Ticker was excommunicated and executed in a garage for stealing from the club.
- During the civil war, numerous Mayans lost their lives in or around the clubhouse.
- The clubhouse has also seen a suicide, that of Esteban "Steve" Estrada.
- It also serves as the final resting place for Allesandro "Domingo" Montez who was murdered, dumped on the property and then left to decompose in a barrel.
- In 2023, Lobo accidentally overdosed on fentanyl, the club had been cooking it in a garage.
- Later the same year, Oakland Presidente Diaz, and Vice Presidente Jinx, were shot to death in the clubhouse.
- Also in 2023, Ezekiel "EZ" Reyes, then Presidente of the charter was exposed as previously being a DEA informant. He was stabbed to death in Templo by the rest of Santo Padre. His pregnant girlfriend, Sofía, was also gunned down in EZ's trailer.
- Hours later, as EZ's blood was still slick on the Templo floor, the ATF stormed the compound and executed everyone inside the clubhouse.
External Structure[]
The clubhouse itself is protected by being inside of the scrapyard which is behind a large gate. Once in the scrapyard itself must be traversed before another gated area can be located which contains various Mayans insignia; inside this gate is the main clubhouse area. At least one office is known to be on the inside of the main gate which is open during the day for the purpose of genuine Romero Brothers Scrap business. The Mayans gate is typically private area and only those affiliated with the club are allowed entry. There are some exceptions such as the family/friends of club members, as well as trusted allies who might not necessarily be in the club.
At some point throughout the scrap maze before the Mayans territory a small trailer can be found. This is the home of Santo Padre member EZ. He is the only permanent resident inside the scrapyard. His trailer is just outside the walls of Mayan territory as it has been noted that the trailer can be climbed to access the internal Mayans area. The clubhouse is a medium sized, single floored building with roof access. It is originally painted dark green. By season four, there are numerous bullet holes in the clubhouse and almost all of the windows have been replaced after they were damaged during the Mayans Civil War. There is an extension to the original bar in the form of an oddly shaped, corrugated iron room with little light. Aside from the clubhouse, inside the gated area there is known to be, a cage for fighting, various sheds and small garages. There are always plenty of vehicles inside the area, most notably motorcycles and a few vans owned by the club.
By season five, around a year after the civil war, the outside clubhouse has been completely refurbished with a new coat of paint, although it is the same dark green colour it previously was, all of the bullet holes have been patched up and a CCTV camera has been installed on a wall just outside the front entrance to the clubhouse. A large Californian Mayans insignia has been painted on the floor outside the clubhouse.
Santo Padre Clubhouse[]
It is mostly consisted of an open space bar. It also contains a small bathroom and a small space designated as a tattoo parlour as well as a meeting room used by the Mayans for club related discussions, known as 'Templo'. The tattoo parlour also contains a ladder to a hatch so that roof access can be gained.
Right next to the front door is a large statue of "Our Lady of Guadalupe", the statue has had a bandolier of bullets slung over it. This religious statue is often associated with gangs and clubs, typically in South America, members of the club sometimes bless the statue before leaving. The bar space contains a lot of tables and chairs to seat the many members of the Mayans that come and go; there is also a pool table.
A few women also work at the bar and while they are not members of the club; some are very closely affiliated and are considered to be trust worthy.
Templo[]
This room appears to be an extension to the original bar as it is inside an oddly shaped, corrugated iron room with little light. It can be accessed through a stained glass door next to the tattoo parlour. Only full patched members of the club are allowed in this room at any time, unless instructed otherwise by a patched member. Weapons and phones are also typically not permitted inside. The room consists mostly of numerous chairs around a large table decorated with the Mayans insignia. There is also a large metal gun locker at the back of the room used to store a variety of weaponry.
EZ's Trailer[]
EZ lives on the property in a vintage, yellow and white single room trailer. It appears to be quite old and is fully converted for living as there is no drivers cabin. As of season four, EZ lives there with Sally, his adopted pitbull. The trailer consists of one small room which contains a living room, a kitchen and bathroom. A weights bench and other gym equipment can be found outside. EZ is noted to live a very simple lifestyle, he owns very few possessions and has just enough for himself. It is noted by Gaby, that he only has a single fork and cup.
