Peter Weller, born June 24, 1947 in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, is an American actor and director on the FX original series Sons of Anarchy. Aside from directing episodes, he also plays the role of Charles Barosky, a corrupt ex-cop and the leader of a gang of corrupt Stockton Police Department officers. Making his debut on the episode "Straw" in the series' sixth season, he establishes a business partnership with Jax and Nero, and demands that before anyone does anything, they need to talk to him first. Despite initially being an ally for SAMCRO, he was revealed to be the rat helping out the Lin Triad in their war with SAMCRO. Playing a recurring role through the series' sixth and seventh seasons, he was a main antagonist in Season 7, and met his demise in the series' finale episode, "Papa's Goods", in the series' seventh, and final, season.
Peter was also a director for Mayans MC, a spinoff of the FX original series Sons of Anarchy. He directed episodes in season one and two.
Peter Weller narrated the critically acclaimed History Channel documentary Engineering an Empire: The Persians (2006) and several Easter Egg references were made to it in Season 6 of SOA. In episode 1 "Straw", Barosky corrects Jax, "Persia hasn't been a country since 637 AD. They're called Iranians." In episode 3 "Poenitentia" (Latin: penitence), Barosky says, referring to one the Ghanezi brothers, "He's got a boat in the marina. It's probably halfway to the Caspian Sea by now."
