Officer O'Grady is a corrupt member of the Stockton Police Department on Mayans MC, a spinoff of the FX original series Sons of Anarchy. Played by American actor John Pirruccello, O'Grady makes his debut in the season two episode, "Xaman-Ek"; playing a minor recurring role throughout the same and subsequent season.

Personality[]

O'Grady is a corrupt cop, using his position to bend those around him to his will. His partner, Pollen is also corrupt. O'Grady is shown to be cruel and spineless; he preys on those who are weaker than him and crumbles under pressure when in a tight spot. He quickly sells out Pollen to the Mayans to save his own skin when he is captured by them.

He was on the payroll of the Mayans Stockton charter and allows them to do whatever they want in his town; as long as he financially gains.

He is seemingly self aware however, as he knows himself and his partner are bad people. When the Mayans are mistakenly going to assault the home of Pollen's family, he intervenes and tells them where Pollen really is; stating that his family have been through enough.

Season 2[]

"Xaman-Ek"[]

O'Grady and his partner, Pollen are patrolling by the Mayans Stockton charter clubhouse. They notice a member they have never seen before, Ezekiel "EZ" Reyes and drive alongside him and threaten him. Will Medina of the Mayans approaches and tells the pair to back off, O'Grady spits on EZ's bike and drives away.

The pair pick up a local hooker named Hope and Pollen asks O'Grady to film the acts. Medina approaches and out of fear Pollen shoots him, the pair flee upon realising what they've done.

"Camazotz"[]

O'Grady is lying low, fearing that the Mayans will be coming for him after Hope made off with Pollen's phone, containing proof that they killed Medina. Hope soon reaches out to him saying that he can have the phone back. O'Grady arrives at the location and Hope immediately makes him suspicious, he draws his gun and she attempts to run in to the derelict building where she claims the phone is, he grabs her by her hair and marches her inside, held at gunpoint. Once he is inside he is immediately surrounded by Mayans. He threatens Hope but they tell him they don't care about her; but if he shoots he dies. They want to know where Pollen is and convince him that he has left him to clean up the mess all by himself. O'Grady realises there might be some truth to this and releases Hope before he is knocked out.

He comes to and hears the Mayans theorising how they will get Pollen; they have his phone which has Pollen's address and make plans to assault the house. O'Grady speaks up when he hears this; admitting to the Mayans that Pollen doesn't live there, only his family do and they don't have anything to do with this. He goes on to explain that Pollen lives with his mother in Lodi. They leave him tied up in the derelict house whilst they head to Lodi.

The Mayans return after dealing with Pollen and he is shown the video of Pollen killing Medina. They explain to him that Pollen will die tonight and when his body is found, he will point the blame elsewhere and if anything comes back to the Mayans then he knows what will happen. He is essentially owned by them until they say otherwise and he agrees to leave Stockton alone. They cut him free and he is allowed to leave.

Season 3[]

"What Comes of Handlin' Snakeskin"[]

O'Grady is called to a motel in Stockton where a brawl has erupted between different Mayan charters, leaving one dead. Off screen, whilst on the scene he receives a phone call from EZ. He finally has a chance to settle his debt with the Mayans. EZ explains to him that he needs to pick up Oscar "El Oso" Ramos, Stockton President and someone who has been paying O'Grady for a while to look the other way whilst the Stockton Mayans carry out their business. He is told to drive Ramos away, allowing EZ to kill him due to some ongoing beef between the Stockton Mayans and Santo Padre. O'Grady does as he is told; he places Ramos in his car and drives away with him, singing as he does. Ramos expects to be freed due to his relationship with O'Grady so asks to be let out of the car, O'Grady finally pulls over and Ramos is shot to death in the backseat by EZ who was hiding by the side of the road. O'Grady complains to EZ about the mess in his car and the inconvenience of having to dispose of the body. EZ threatens him once more to ensure his men are kept safe overnight and released the following day. As EZ walks away O'Grady asks if his debt has been paid but EZ only answers cryptically.
