Stephanie 'Nails' is a character on Mayans MC, a spinoff of the FX original series Sons of Anarchy. Played by American actress Justina Adorno. Biography[]
Nails is a hangaround at the Mayans Santo Padre clubhouse. She works at the bar and keeps the clubhouse clean, she is also available as a partner to members of the club, she is a frequent lover of Angel Reyes, club Secretary and the pair eventually fall in love, with Nails becoming pregnant and Angel soon proposing to her.
The relationship of the pair is fraught from the start, Angel is scared of the responsibilities he will soon be facing and proceeds to avoid his new fiancée. Later; complications in Nails' pregnancy lead her to miscarry their child. Nails is devastated and ultimately decides to break up with Angel and break all ties with the Mayans.
Season 3[]
"Pap Struggles with the Death Angel"[]
Nails and Rosa can be seen visiting the home of Angel Reyes to make love to him.
"The Orneriness of Kings"[]
Hank "Tranq" Loza is tattooing one of the hangaround girls and Nails is eager to learn, she watches while he tattoos.
"Overreaching Don't Pay"[]
Angel arrives to the clubhouse and is greeted by Nails who invites him out with her this evening. She wonders why Angel didn't return her calls the previous night but gets her answer when another club hang around, Jess, enters moments after Angel. Angel all but declines her invite and steps away.
Angel returns to the clubhouse and takes Nails to spend the night with him, the pair are getting to business when they are startled by a woman inside the house. Nails attempts to cover herself as the woman stares daggers at Angel.
"Our Gang's Dark Oath"[]
Nails is stocking up the bar, Hank approaches and offers to help her carry the boxes of beer. Hank says that Steve should be doing the heavy lifting but Nails says he is busy with club work. Hank then says he is hoping to get Nails tattooing later. Hank asks Nails if she is okay and she tears up, explaining that she should've known better. Laughing it off she tells Hank she is fine as he offers to talk if she ever needs it. Nails thanks Hank, noting that he is sweet.
Nails later tattoos Hank, she thanks him again, explaining that he has made her "shitty day better".
"A Mixed-up and Splendid Rescue"[]
Hank walks in on Nails vomiting in the bathroom, he tries to talk to her and Nails tells Hank that she is stupid. Hank reassures her that she's one of the smartest people he knows. Nails sarcastically remarks that they both know the same people. She then confesses that she is pregnant, Hank is taken aback but continues to tell Nail that she can always rely on him. Nails hugs Hank, stating that she doesn't deserve him.
"The House of Death Floats By"[]
Nails can be seen serving and partying at the Santo Padre clubhouse with the club. They are celebrating recent victories for the club. She and Angel announce that they are getting married.
She is also later present when Steve shoots himself inside the clubhouse. Horrified by the events, Angel comforts her outside the clubhouse
Season 4[]
"Cleansing of the Temple"[]
Nails is among those present when the Santo Padre clubhouse is attacked. Nails assists the club best she can in defending the clubhouse and comforts an injured Hank who had been shot in the leg. She is very against Angel trying to take the fight to the attackers. Angel sits with Nails and assures her that if they make it out alive, he's going to be there for his family. He then passes Nails a gun explaining that there is one bullet left and Nails should use it on herself and not let the attackers hurt her. When EZ says he is going to surrender Angel tries to stop him but Nails talks Angel out of it, thinking EZ's surrender will be the only way they make it out alive. Angel refuses to listen and follows EZ outside with Nails pleading just behind him.
Nails along with everyone from Santo Padre ultimately survives the battle after Marcus Alvarez arrives to put an end to the fighting.
"Hymn Among the Ruins"[]
Angel lies in bed with Nails and the pair discuss how excited they are for the birth of their baby. Angel later returns home with takeout and Nails is overjoyed to see him
"Self Portrait in Blue Bathroom"[]
Nails tries to make breakfast for Angel but he claims he is in a hurry and doesn't know if he will be home for dinner. Angel's absence clearly makes Nails upset.
Felipe Reyes, father of EZ and Angel later visits Nails. He gifts her some baby essentials and Nails is very grateful. Felipe begins to assemble the crib that Nails has; despite Nails' protests.
"A Crow Flew By"[]
Nails tells Angel when he arrives home that Felipe has come to visit, Angel is annoyed but Nails insists he talk to his father. Nails leaves the pair to talk and heads to bed.
"When I Die, I Want Your Hands on My Eyes"[]
Nails decorated the spare room preparing for the birth of her baby. She notices she is bleeding so gets in the shower where she begins to bleed heavily, realising something is wrong she heads outside and tries to get in the truck. Felipe arrives to bring more things for Nails. He finds her staggering about outside and she is clearly in a bad way. Felipe takes her to the hospital but is told to wait outside by doctors as Nails is rushed away.
He is allows to see Nails finally and learns the tragic news that Nails suffered a haemorrhage, killing her unborn child. The nurses allow Nails to hold her baby.
Felipe and Nails drive back to Angel's house, Nails theorises that her moving too much caused the death of her son. Felipe offers to stay with Nails but she asks him to leave.
"Dialogue with the Mirror"[]
Angel arrives home and sees Nails waiting for him. Angel tries to apologise to Nails for his absence as she hasn't seen him in days but Nails doesn't want to hear it anymore and says she is leaving him, he always manages to make everything about him and she won't have it anymore. Angel sadly learns that in his absence, Nails miscarried and Felipe bought her to the hospital, she goes to leave before retorting "It was a nice dream".
"The Calling of Saint Matthew"[]
Angel exits the clubhouse to see Nails outside. It’s obvious she’s devastated over the loss of their baby. Angel takes a seat on the bench and gives her a hug, apologizing for screwing everything up. He’s sorry she went through this alone and apologizes for not being there for her. He blames himself but Nails says it just happened. Nails is confused as to why Angel wanted to meet and he assures her again he’s sorry. Nails assures Angel he’s not a horrible person and that he has a beautiful heart. That's why she fell in love with him and hopes the rest of him will "catch up" some day.
Season 5[]
"I See the Black Light"[]
Nails appears again, having left the club behind, she now works as a fitness instructor, she is seen leading a group of elderly folks through some exercise routines. Outside the door, she spots Hank. The pair catch up, Nails explains that she found the club life hard to leave behind but she is much happier now than she has ever been before.
"My Eyes Filled and Then Closed on the Last of Childhood Tears"[]
Hank is awoken by Nails, he was sleeping in his mother's room. Nails says that she just came to check on Consuela as she didn't see her in the fitness class. Hank explains she wasn't feeling too good and that she hasn't been eating much recently. Nails and Hank grab some dinner, laughing about the poor quality of food from the vending machines.
