It is revealed by Pablo that Mini did not take well to Adelita's capture and becoming in his words "a problem" so she was abandoned, something he reveals to Adelita after her rescue, causing her to snap at him and break down in tears.

Eventually Adelita finds Mini in a dumpster and brings her with her, washing her in Angel's home she tells her that they'll always be together, although Mini looks unresponsive and detached.
