Luann Delaney was the wife of Otto "Big Otto" Delaney on the FX original series Sons of Anarchy. Played by American actress Dendrie Taylor, Luann makes her debut in the series' premiere episode, "Pilot", in season one. Playing a recurring role through the same and subsequent season. Luann meets her demise in the episode "Potlatch".

Biography[]

Luann is around the same age as Gemma Teller-Morrow. She met Gemma not long after she left home and moved to Charming, California. She was maid of honour at Gemma and John "JT" Teller's wedding in 1978. She was involved in the porn industry and made her name doing kinkier sex than most other actresses. She soon met Otto Delaney, a member of JT's motorcycle club, the Sons of Anarchy Motorcycle Club, Redwood Original charter. The pair fell in love and eventually marryied. Otto used his own money to set Luann up with her own pornography studio, Cara Cara, not wanting her to have to be an actress anymore. She is loyal to the club, but skims money from their end, to do what she can for Otto and live a good lifestyle. Luann's skimming is eventually discovered when Robert "Bobby Elvis" Munson, another member of SAMCRO starts working the books at Cara Cara, this leads Luann to begin an affair with Bobby to keep his silence. At the time of her death, she was partnering with the club in the porn business, had expensive breast implants and drove a newer corvette with vanity plates.

Gemma and Luann
"The Pull"[]
As Luann arrives at the hospital for Abel getting out of the incubator. Gemma asks her if the Sons can borrow $70k cash. Luann is obviously unsure, saying it is a lot of money, Gemma tells Luann she knows she has a lot of money stashed away and to not get humble on her. Gemma reminds Luann that Otto is the reason she has the business today, she owes him and by extension the club. Luann says she will be able to get about $50k for the club, and she wants 20% interest from the club. Gemma flat out denies her request, saying she is greedy, Luann eventually settles on 5%.
"Better Half"[]
ATF Agent June Stahl is back in Charming, she first visits Luann and Stahl's team find evidence of drug use at her studio and Stahl orders the studio shut down. Luann is arrested and kept at the Charming police station.
Later that night, Jackson "Jax" Teller, the Vice President of SAMCRO suddnely appears outside of Luann's cell. Jax tells her that they think the ATF is pressing Otto and Luann confirms this, saying that she is being allowed to see him tomorrow for some reason, Jax orders Luann to tell Otto that they're using the RICO act against the club, Otto cannot give the ATF anything, new or old.
The following day, Luann has allowed her visit with Otto. Luann tells Otto that Jax says that ATF is using the RICO act against the club. Luann is very worried when Otto tells her that he has gotten her clear of the drug charges as SAMCRO will know that Otto ratted. Otto denies this, saying Luann shouldn't be concerned and he will get a message to the club.
Season 2[]
"Small Tears"[]
Cara Cara is raided by the feds, they take all of Luann's equipment, leaving her unable to film and pay her talent.
SAMCRO head to Luann's studio. Luann tells them about Georgie Caruso, a rival producer who is going to poach her girls, Luann says she needs the money she loaned the club back so she can pay her girls to keep them. Jax says it won't happen today but he will get Georgie off her back. They head to Georgie's studio and threaten him, Georgie says that he is trying to help Luann's girls but SAMCRO don't buy it. A very hungover Bobby throws up on Georgie's bodyguard and the club leave.
Jax and Filip "Chibs" Telford return to St. Thomas, they find Luann there with Lyla Dvorak, one of Luann's girls, she has been beaten by Georgie who threatened the Sons right back. Luann is furious at Jax, telling them he bought this problem upon her and her girls.
Jax later invites Luann to her new studio and proses the idea of a 50/50 partnership with her, she accepts.
"Fix"[]
Luann is angry that Clarence "Clay" Morrow, President of SAMCRO has ordered Robert "Bobby Elvis" Munson to come and work for Luann to do the bookkeeping. Jax arrives to try and diffuse the situation, Luann is also concerned about Georgie, claiming that he is still following her girls even after the Sons essentially shut down his business.
Bobby notices some irregularities with Luann's records, he explains to her that he knows she has been skimming money for at least 6 years, screwing the club. Luann attempts to justify herself, saying that Otto gave her the business and the club is the reason he is in jail. Bobby says he will have to take the information to the club, Luann attempts to silence Bobby by forcing herself on him.
A law enforcement raid caused Luann to lose her studio and performers to a rival pornographer and Otto asked SAMCRO to help her. Jax helped get the performers back and sets up Luann in one of SAMCRO's warehouses thus giving SAMCRO a hand in her business. Despite Luann's protests, Jax goes along with Clay, when he gives Bobby a job as a bookkeeper in her company. Bobby discovers that Luann is skimming money from the business, but in order to keep him quiet, she performs sexual favors for him. Luann Delaney is found beaten to death at the end of the season 2 episode "Potlatch." She was killed by Georgie Caruso's men, in order to attain her actors and steal her business. He was later dealt with by SAMCRO as revenge for killing her and in turn, causing Otto to turn on them. By season 4, Lincoln Potter ADA, informed Otto that Bobby was having sex with Luann, and showed him the DNA results of semen found on Luann's panties at the time of her death. He later closes the trap, when he exposes Bobby's lie that SAMCRO killed Georgie, even though they did later after using him to set up Hale.
