Special Agent Katie McNeill, alias: "Kody" is a ATF operative on Mayans MC, a spinoff of the FX original series Sons of Anarchy. Played by American actress Stella Maeve, Kody makes her debut in the season four episode, "Hymn Among the Ruins", and plays a recurring role as a secondary protagonist throughout season five.
Biography[]
Katie first appears as a member of a Narcotics Anonymous group, she strikes up a conversation with Mayans Motorcycle Club member, Neron "Creeper" Vargas. The pair begin to casually date and Katie becomes more involved in Creeper's life, learning more about his past and the club he is a part of. Katie eventually visits the clubhouse with Creeper and meets some other members, cementing herself as an associate.
Katie, real name Katie is later revealed to be an undercover cop who has been tasked with infiltrating the Mayans in an attempt to expose the club's illegal activities, Katie has a history of drug abuse and making mistakes and this is her last chance to prove herself. Katie soon realizes her true feelings towards Creeper and stops himself from incriminating the club when her house has been bugged, she reveals the truth to Creeper about who she really is.
Katie is later fired from her job after trying to have Creeper freed from prison, after he took the fall for his club and admitted to numerous murders. A desperate Katie, now with nothing to lose doubles down on her efforts to destroy the club, punishing them for all their wrongdoings.
Things turn tragic when Creeper's luck on the inside finally runs out, and he is stabbed to death inside. This causes erratic and reckless decision making on Katie's part, blinded by her hatred for the club and obsession with seeking revenge, Katie makes a very dangerous ally in a final attempt to finish the club off for good.
Season 4[]
"Hymn Among the Ruins"[]
Kody attends a Narcotics Anonymous meeting and introduces herself to Creeper afterwards, she tells him she appreciates what he shared during the meeting and the pair lightly flirt.
"A Crow Flew By"[]
Kody meets Creeper at a diner and the pair have lunch, they discuss their families and difficulties in life.
"Death of the Virgin"[]
Kody and Creeper awaken in bed together. Creeper inquires about Kody's shrine to a man in her room. Kody reveals the man was her partner who killed himself, Creeper says he thinks suicide is selfish but Kody disagrees and says they are just different people.
"Dialogue with the Mirror"[]
Creeper reveals to Kody that the club is going through some tough times and he has a lot on his mind, he cares a lot for his brothers but isn't sure they feel the same. He recounts when he was shot a few years ago and the club didn't seek retaliation.
"The Righteous Wrath of an Honorable Man"[]
Kody is invited by Creeper to visit the Mayans club house, she sits at a table with other members Obispo "Bishop" Losa, Hank "Tranq" Loza and Dondo. Kody is happy to meet Creeper's brothers and they leave together.
"The Calling of Saint Matthew"[]
Kody exits from her bathroom to find a woman sitting on her bed, it is her superior, Melissa Lydecker. She is annoyed but not surprised to see the woman. Melissa tells Kody, who she addresses as "Kate" to take down the picture of her deceased partner and that she hasn't checked in in two weeks. Melissa tells Katie she "doesn't want a repeat of Nashville" but doesn't specify what happened. Katie insists her that everything is fine and Melissa asks her to do a drug test before telling her that as well as cameras, they will be setting up listening devices in her house too. Katie insists that she is making great progress but Melissa insists there isn't enough time and this is Katie's last chance to impress or she will be taken out of the field again. Katie has been an undercover cop all along, tasked with infiltrating the club and getting dirt on them.
Katie and Creeper are later together and Creeper remarks on his time in prison, Katie asks him if he is worried to go back in prison, knowing what the club do. Katie brings up the Sons of Anarchy, a rival motorcycle club and their current war with the Mayans, Creeper begins to talk about drugs but Katie quickly silences him and drags him in to the bathroom, turning on all the taps to make a lot of noise. Creeper is very confused and Katie whispers in his ear, presumably telling him the truth about what she's really been sent to do.
"When the Breakdown Hit at Midnight"[]
Katie meets with Creeper to offer him a deal. She states that the feds know about the numerous killings that the Mayans have done, she reels off a long list. She tells him the only way he will survive is if he turns on the club and gives them up. Katie also reveals to Creeper that there is a rat in Santo Padre. Creeper asks Katie she chose him of all the Santo Padre members. Katie admits to Creeper that he was perfect as he was isolated, vulnerable and the "softest target".
Katie is later fetched when Creeper voluntarily comes in for interrogation. Katie is told Creeper won't take unless she is in the room, she enters and stands at the back as Creeper begins to speak. She listens as Creeper answer the basic questions before he quickly changes the pace and admits to all of the murders that Katie mentioned earlier. Every time he insists that he acted alone and the club has no knowledge and nothing to do with it. Katie begins to cry and murmur from the back of the room for Creeper to stop admitting to these crimes but he ignores her and continues.
Season 5[]
"Lord Help My Poor Soul"[]
Katie visits Creeper in hospital, he was shivved in prison and is in a bad way. Katie begs Creeper to allow her to put him in protective custody but he outright refuses. Creeper insults Katie's dead partner which causes her to go to leave, telling Creeper that she hopes he dies. He stops her as she gets to the door and Katie begs again. Creeper offers Katie a proposition, if she wants to help him, she needs to find out who the rat inside of the club is.
Katie later tries to get in to an evidence room, only to find that her access card doesn't work.
"Do You Hear the Rain"[]
Lydecker is berating Katie . She found out about her visiting Creeper and she is furious, stating that she went out of her way to help Katie keep her job and she threw it back in her face. She demands Katie hand over her badge and gun as she fires her. Whilst she takes a phone call, Katie steals her pass and uses it to access the evidence room.
"I See the Black Light"[]
Having found the name Kevin Jimenez inside the archives, Katie visits the home and his wife answers the door. Katie explains she is looking for Kevin but his wife, Claudia Jimenez quickly tells her that he isn't here before trying to close the door, Katie stops her and insists she really needs to speak with him. Claudia becomes impatient and explains that all of Kevin's debts have been paid and her name cleared by the bank. Katie quickly cuts her off, explaining she isn't looking for money and is with the ATF. This makes Claudia chuckle, remarking how now the ATF have come to see her. Katie is very confused as Claudia begins to sob and she pieces together that Kevin has disappeared whilst in the line of work and Claudia is desperately seeking answers. Katie tells a disappointed Claudia that she doesn't know where Kevin is but believes he may have been involved with some bad people and hopefully her information can help her.
Katie is able to get a large amount of intelligence from Claudia, she listens to a tape recording made by Jimenez when he was working a case and discussing with his informant. Katie hears the name "EZ". The name sounds familiar and she glances over to her wall of convict photos, realizing that EZ is in fact Ezekiel "EZ" Reyes, the Presidente of Santo Padre, Creeper's Mayans club charter; he could also be Creeper's ticket out of prison.
"I Want Nothing but Death"[]
Creeper meets with Katie, she explains that she has had her badge stripped and only got in on a favour. She asks Creeper if he has ever heard of Kevin Jimenez, to which Creeper denies. She goes on to explain that he was the handler of the rat in the club and has since been killed. The million dollar question is asked finally by Creeper, who is the rat in Santo Padre? Katie hesitates for a few seconds before saying that it is EZ Reyes. Creeper laughs at her, quickly stating that it isn't EZ. Katie carries on explaining that she has looked through countless documents and even met with Jimenez' widow, where she learned that Jimenez and EZ are cousins, it's all on a tape recording made by Jimenez. Creeper becomes emotional, stating that Katie is just trying to emotionally torture him but Katie insists she is telling the truth, explaining that he needs to think about EZ's situation, he killed a cop, and was out of prison in five years. Creeper shouts for the CO to come and take him back to his cell as he is done with the meeting. As Creeper is marched away Katie yells after him that she has done everything he asked her to do.
"Her Blacks Crackle and Drag"[]
Katie is later devastated to learn that Creeper was stabbed to death inside prison. Taking a colossal risk, Katie makes an appearance at the Santo Padre clubhouse once again, knowing Creeper's wake will be held there. Katie has no idea if Creeper has told the other Mayans about her formerly being an undercover agent so going there is incredibly dangerous. Katie doesn't care however, she attends the wake and makes her way through the crowd to Creeper's casket, laying her hands on his lifeless body with tears in her eyes. She doesn't linger too long as she hears whispers behind her, and quickly rushes out of the clubhouse.
"I Must Go in Now for the Fog Is Rising"[]
Katie is contacted by Lincoln Potter, a US assistant district attorney. The shady Potter appears to know everything about Katie , including her past with the ATF and how she no longer has a job. Katie attempts to figure out what Potter's game is as he offers her a chance to work for the government again. Katie is furious as she realises that Potter is the reason EZ is free to this day. Katie isn't receptive to Potter's invite but he insists he’s her last hope and that her knowledge/compulsions can help put the crosshairs dead centre on the Mayans.
Potter admits he needs her help, and it seems the mention of taking down the Mayans has grabbed her attention. However, Katie insists that if she joins him, EZ must die. Potter agrees.
"Slow to Bleed Fair Son"[]
Now fully in bed with Potter, Katie assists as Potter puts their final plan to destroy the Mayans in to action. Later that day, Katie has got a surprise in store for Potter. They walk through the halls of a police station as Katie reveals someone’s come forward with an incredible story to tell. The door opens and Cielo, a former associate of the Santo Padre Mayans, is ready to turn on them. She is caked in blood and is visibly terrified.
The hours tick by as Potter can practically taste victory, Cielo's testimony against the Mayans was the final nail in the coffin. He arrives at the clubhouse with Katie in tow. Federal agents pour into the parking lot as a helicopter circles overhead. The agents enter the clubhouse while Potter and Katie watch from outside. A barrage of gunshots ring out from inside the clubhouse as Potter tells Katie, “The levy will hold…for now.”

- Ezekiel "EZ" Reyes - Illegally gave information to Mayans Motorcycle Club, Santo Padre charter that EZ was DEA informant knowing it would lead to his murder. It was payback for EZ orchestrated her lover Neron Vargas murder in prison. She had planned EZ's murder beforehand with Lincoln Potter. ("Slow to Bleed Fair Son")
