Juan Denver, was an associate of the Galindo Cartel on Mayans MC, a spinoff of the FX original series Sons of Anarchy. Played by South Korean actor Keong Sim, Juan makes his debut in the season three, appearing in two episodes; Juan meets his demise in "Dark-Deep-laid Plans".
Biography[]
Juan Denver was an associate of the Galindo Cartel. He is a resourceful and creative smuggler and assists the Mayans Motorcycle Club in smuggling drugs over the border inside of large concrete blockades which are going to be used at the Agra Park, a project owned by Miguel Galindo of the cartel.
Little else is known about Juan Denver, who's real name is unknown. His alias is taken from John Denver, an American country singer as he is a big fan of his music and is seen numerous times listening to music by Denver.
Season 3[]
"Overreaching Don't Pay"[]
Juan is met by Ezekiel "EZ" Reyes and Angel Reyes of the Mayans. They have come to collect a drug shipment which has been smuggled over the border by Juan. Juan speaks only in lyrics to the confused brothers, but his musical tone is eventually matched by EZ which greatly pleases him.
"Dark, Deep-laid Plans"[]
Juan is at his usual site with a drug shipment when he is approached by a truck and a motorbike. The intimidating bunch turn out to be Lobos New Generation members. The leader, El Banquero questions Juan on if the site belongs to Miguel Galindo but in typical Juan style, he replies with some thoughtful Denver lyrics. Tired of the odd scenario, Banquero blows a kiss to Juan and his associate unsheathes a large kunai, Juan panics and runs but is quickly caught by the others and is eventually executed.
When Galindo Cartel members Nestor Oceteva and Marcus Alvarez arrive later, they find their drug shipment destroyed and Juan's burnt corpse alongside it.
