Biography[]

Coco is a veteran Marine. He was discharged after demonstrating his marksmanship by using his rifle to shoot a cigar out of an officer's mouth. He later joined the Mayans Motorcycle Club in the city of Santo Padre. It is noted and displayed many times throughout the series that Coco is a master marksman and is well versed in ranged warfare. He even notes to O'Grady that he'll be able to hear the wind pass through his own head for a split second after he shoots him.

Coco was born to a prostitute, with whom he has a severely strained relationship. While Coco was incarcerated, his daughter, Leticia, was born. He insisted she be given up for adoption in an attempt to better her future, but his mother chose to adopt her in an attempt to have a second chance at being a mother (though Coco believes it was for welfare money). Letty grew up without knowing Coco was her father, only knowing him as an older brother, until Coco's mother revealed her parentage during an argument.

After Coco is injured during a gunfight, he becomes addicted to drugs during his recovery, his addictions spirals out of control and he soon begins push everyone out of his life, including Letty and the club, he begins to pull dangerous stunts in order to get a fix, including stealing from his own club. Coco's abandonment eventually leads to him being removed from the club temporarily. Coco feels abandoned by his brothers during this period and only one loyal friend, Gilly, came to save Coco when he was being held by the mad man Isaac Packer, at Meth Mountain. During his stint at meth mountain, Coco finds love and is able to save his lover from the clutches of Isaac also, together, they try to get sober and build a family, albeit, very dysfunctional.

On the road to recovery and with the prospect of a better life, Coco attempts to be a better man for his family and for the club. Coco's dedication to the club eventually leads to his tragic demise as he is in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Taza is concerned that El Palo will be back but Bishop assures him he has nothing left to come back to.

Santo Padre later ride out to meet other charters. Tensions begin to ride when Bishop is accused of not pulling his weight as Santo Padre is the source of the drugs and the recent losses Santo Padre have been suffering is negatively impacting other charters. They are also responsible for losing the gun deal when they attacked the VM. Canche and Ramos demand double the product to make up for their losses but Bishop refuses and questions if the rest of the club can survive without the Santo Padre pipeline before Santo Padre leave.

Coco is later seen doing more drugs alone in his house.

"The Orneriness of Kings"[]

In Templo, Bishop explains that he believes the other kings are going to try and force him out for his stunt the previous night. Angel voices his distaste for the other charters after Santo Padre worked so hard for what they have. Coco quickly leaves after Templo and is caught by Creeper who wants to check on him as he has been looking worse for wear. Coco insists he is fine and leaves.

Coco visits Louie and asks him if he can score some more oxytocin and Louie remarks that he just sold him some but Coco insists its to ease with the pain of his eye which he is still recovering from. Coco offers to pay with Letty's iPad but Louie doesn't have anymore. Louie tells Coco that he had to send some to Meth Mountain to make up for loss they suffered due to the Mayans shipment being taken. Coco learns that a man named Butterfly runs meth mountain. Coco departs.

Coco heads up to meth mountain and meets the mysterious Butterfly. He trades the iPad for 2 pills but when Butterfly goes to get the drugs Coco pulls a gun on him and makes him take out all the oxy which he steals before fleeing. The others at meth mountain attack Coco in his car and drag him out back to the camp.

"Overreaching Don't Pay"[]

Whilst being held captive at meth mountain, Coco suffers flashbacks from when he was a young boy and Celia would force him to help her shoot up drugs. Celia makes Coco promise that he'll "never be like his mama". He wakes up to Hope dosing him up with heroin and then passes out again.

When he awakes, Hope is by his side and he realises what has happened, he runs out of the trailer and vomits. Isaac, the apparent leader of meth mountain approaches Coco and being preaching nonsense before returning his gun to him which Coco immediately points back at Isaac but is quickly disarmed and Isaac threatens him before again, returning the weapon. Coco fires a shot off in the air and runs to get in his car.

Coco returns to the clubhouse and is immediately questioned by an angry Gilly. Coco apologises and says he's back for good and he is done with the drugs and Gilly seems satisfied.

On the afternoon, Santo Padre is visited by Happy Lowman and Allesandro "Domingo" Montez, with the former revealing he has taken over Berdoo's operations as Les Packer is in treatment for cancer. Happy subsequently explains that Mayans are to give a call if they want to pass through SOA territory. Bishop is taken aback by the sudden hostility, but Montez and Happy elaborate that their attack on the VM has caused issues. Bishop wonders if this was Chibs' decision to which Happy confirms, before leaving. Bishop admits he doesn't think much of Happy but, he's wary of Montez's intelligence.

The club arrive at Vicki's and tell her to clear the girls out for the night as they need to use her place. Vicki is furious as she blames the club for Riz's death but Bishop threatens her in to submission.

Angel and EZ finally arrive with the drugs and the plan is finally ready. Gilly is watching for border patrol while Taza and Creeper bring the load up through the tunnel. Bishop congratulates EZ on his plan. Chaos erupts when Gilly spots border patrol is coming in full force, the club scramble to get the drugs back in the tunnel. New prospect Esteban "Steve" Estrada is ordered to slow down border patrol which he does by driving at them and swerving in front of their vehicles. Taza and Creeper are left in the tunnel as there is no time to get them out and the hole is covered as the rest of the club flees in to the night.

Later that night, Coco returns to meth mountain to see Hope and get another fixing of heroin. Isaac enters and takes some pictures of the passed out Coco.

"Our Gang's Dark Oath"[]

Bishop arrives and calls for a Templo meeting. They need to figure out who is responsible for tipping off border patrol and the club theorise that it was Alicia, the woman who was caught running drugs for the club. EZ guesses that Vicki could be responsible, especially after Riz's death. Bishop sends EZ to speak to Alicia. Bishop then announces he has a new plan to get the drugs over the border, he wants to jump the fence; the rest of the club show distaste at his very risky plan but nobody has any better ideas.

At the garage, Coco receives two very unexpected visitors being Butterfly and Isaac. Isaac threatens Coco with the image of him doped up saying that the club will kill him if they know, Isaac tells him that he wants 1 kilo of heroin and the club never find out about Coco's problem. Coco argues that Isaac is insane saying he wants him to not get killed by his club by stealing from his club which will definitely get him killed by his club. Isaac agrees. Butterfly also provides Coco with some more drugs in the meantime.

Coco is later approached by Gilly once again who is checking on him, he asks about who visited him earlier and Coco lies and says it was people looking for Letty. He heads in to the bathroom to snort the drugs he was given by Butterfly but Gilly kicks down the door to see what he is really doing, Gilly is livid and tells Coco he is done with him. Coco says nothing and simply closes the door and snorts up.

"Dark, Deep-Laid Plans"[]

Bishop exits Templo and tells Coco and Gilly they'll be running together, Gilly refuses and EZ steps up and says Coco can ride with him. Coco admits to EZ he hasn't been doing well recently but he'll do good today and appreciates the chance.

The run is about to go down as kids shoot off fireworks and distract the Border Patrol. Steve is the lookout and informs the group the distraction is working, which sets Bridge Over the River Kwai in motion. Gilly drives a truck up to the wall on the Mexican side of the border at the pre-determined location. Angel and Bishop are in a truck exactly opposite them on the US side. Ramps are put in place on both sides and it’s immediately apparent they’re a foot too short on the U.S. as well as on the Mexican side. EZ realizes there’s been an additional foot added to the wall’s height, and Bishop confesses he’s going off dimensions from back when Bush was president. Steve radios in that the border patrol are done with the kids and will be at their location in two minutes-ish. Bishop wants to call it off, but EZ has an idea. He takes two spare tires and places them flat next to the Mexican side of the wall.

Amidst all the chaos, Coco cuts loose one end of the tarp where the drugs are under.

Creeper drives the truck with the ramp onto the tires and the Mexican side is now tall enough for EZ to drive the truck over. EZ tells Coco to buckle up as it’s going to be a rough ride once they hit the top. (The truck has to fall a foot before landing on the other ramp.) So much could go wrong – including a tire popping – but fortunately nothing does. EZ, now with the drugs successfully over the border and on the U.S. side, zooms off to make the delivery. Angel sets the ramp on the U.S. side on fire as the Border Patrol’s sirens draw closer. Angel and Bishop jump the border to join the rest of the club.

As Coco and EZ drive away, Coco "notices" the tarp has come loose, he crawls to the back of the truck to tighten it but not before stuffing a pack of drugs in to this jacket. EZ and Coco make the delivery to the Tucson Mayans. On the drive back EZ attempts to be philosophical with Coco who is often in the mood for talks such as this bit Coco quickly silences him. As soon as they arrive back at the clubhouse Coco gets on his bike and departs.

Coco returns to meth mountain and gives Isaac the package he stole from the club. Isaac rewards him with more drugs which he eagerly takes before returning to Hope.

"You Can't Pray a Lie"[]

Coco is still at meth mountain and is having sex with Hope. Coco comforts Hope as she tells him how disgusting she thinks she is and how miserable her life is. Hope asks about Coco's mother to which he responds that he "sees her all the time". This could be a reference to how he sees her in himself now that he is an addict too.

Isaac later approaches Coco and threatens him to steal 3 more keys of heroin or he will kill Hope who he knows that Coco has become infatuated with.

"What Comes of Handlin' Snakeskin"[]

Coco arrives home looking a sorry state and is greeted by Letty, Letty is furious that Coco disappeared for ages. He asks Letty to get some pills for him to ease his pain and once she returns he has already passed out. Coco later awakens and Letty tries to reason with him saying that he is becoming like Celia but he refuses to hear it telling Letty that she is wrong. Letty asks what happened to her car and Coco tells her that someone trashed it overnight and says it was probably her fault. The continue to exchange verbal blows before Letty leaves after telling Coco that she hopes he dies.

Hope later arrives after Coco warned her that Isaac was going to kill her. Hope has brought some more heroin for the pair and is saddened to see that Coco only invited her their so he could bring him more drugs. Coco reassures her that she brings him peace before shooting up and passing out.

"A Mixed-up and Splendid Rescue"[]

Coco is out of it and Letty begins to scream and pump his chest trying to awaken him, Hope comes to and quickly jabs Coco with something which causes him to awaken from his state.

Coco apologises to Letty and says he wants to get clean but he can't do it on his own. Letty is still angry and leaves.

"The House of Death Floats By"[]

Coco awakens to see that Hope has disappeared. He goes to see Letty and Letty suggests that Coco goes to rehab and the club can help but Coco says they will kill him if they find out what he's been doing. He asks Letty where Hope is but her silence is all the answer he needs, he arms up and heads out to go and save Hope, knowing that she has returned to meth mountain. Letty begs Coco not to leave but he ignores her pleas and promises her he will come back.

Coco arrives at meth mountain and finds Hope, he tries to rescue her but Butterfly arrives and holds him at gunpoint before taking Hope away. Isaac arrives too.

Coco is tied up by Isaac and is forced to listen to his ramblings before being shot up with heroin again, Coco thrashes about but is unable to stop the assault.

"Chapter the Last, Nothing More to Write"[]

Coco is still being held by the insane Isaac at meth mountain, Coco is very much checked out and has accepted his fate. An explosion is heard outside and Isaac goes to investigate, Gilly enters as he leaves and finds Coco hanging from the ceiling. He cuts him loose and the pair begin to move. Isaac rushes back and realises that Coco is gone. Gilly and Coco look for Hope but she finds them along with Isaac and Butterfly. Hope tells Coco that she will never be allowed to leave with him and they will kill him if he tries to take her away. Hope returns to Isaac's arms as Gilly begins to usher him away. Coco suddenly runs back and shouts at Isaac "you're not my brother, motherfucker" before shooting him in the throat as Gilly guns down another armed member of Meth Mountain. The trio then escape the mountain.
