Background[]

Little is originally known about Ibarra other than him being the Presidente of Tucson. Ibarra is the father of former Mayans Santo Padre member Guero.

Ibarra was very loyal to club and it occupies the majority of his life. When he is stripped of his kutte by Canche, he notes to Obispo "Bishop" Losa that he "feels naked" without it. Downer notes to Guero that Ibarra was "loud" and a "down-ass motherfucker".

Guero and Ibarra supposedly didn't have much of a relationship when Guero was growing up due to Ibarra being imprisoned for most of it. This also caused Ibarra's wife to leave him as he was turning down a dark path, and she presumably didn't want Guero to follow this.

Season 2[]

"Xbalanque"[]

Ibarra and the Tucson Mayans are summoned to the Santo Padre clubhouse to head in to a meeting with the Stockton, Santo Padre, Sahuarita and Yuma. They are accused of stealing and stepping on the drugs. Ezekiel "EZ" Reyes of Santo Padre is called in to recall what the packages looked like when he picked them up. He identifies that the Tucson package has been interfered with. Ticker, one of the Tucson Mayans is accused and tries to grab a gun from his boot. He is quickly restrained and removed from the room. Ibarra apologises to Obispo "Bishop" Losa, Canche and Oscar "El Oso" Ramos, the Rey de Los Mayas and says he will deal with Ticker.

We later see Ticker being executed for his betrayal of the club. He is injected with a lethal dose of drugs by Pavia, presumably the same ones he was lacing. He overdoses and dies.

"Camazotz"[]

The Tucson charter attend the funeral wake for Stockton member, Will Medina.

Season 3[]

"Pap Struggles with the Death Angel"[]

Santo Padre later ride out to meet other charters. Tensions begin to rise when Bishop is accused of not pulling his weight as Santo Padre is the source of the drugs and the recent losses Santo Padre have been suffering is negatively impacting other charters. They are also responsible for losing the gun deal when they attacked the Vatos Malditos Motorcycle Club. Canche and Ramos demand double the product to make up for their losses but Bishop refuses and questions if the rest of the club can survive without the Santo Padre pipeline before Santo Padre leave.

"The Orneriness of Kings"[]

Ibarra has come to the Santo Padre table for help. He hears that Canche and Ramos want to overthrow Bishop as he is killing the drug pipeline. He needs the pipeline to continue to supply the prisons or brothers inside are going to die but Bishop refuses. EZ speaks up and says they are going to keep the heroin flowing to Arizona, the rest of the table goes ballistic but EZ silences them. He explains they keep Arizona in the loop to keep brothers inside safe. They take Canche out, taking his crown, using Tucson as the new conduit and work on making bigger less frequent runs that will go to Tucson who will distribute, making no need for Canche. They also remove Ramos leaving Bishop the one king. The club stares in stunned silence at EZ's insane plan but all seem to be in agreement.

"Dark, Deep-laid Plans"[]

Santo Padre are successful in running a huge shipment of drugs over the border which are collected by Ibarra and Tucson. They return with the load to their clubhouse but are shocked when Canche and other charters are there. They know about the partnership between Tucson and Santo Padre.

"A Mixed-up and Splendid Rescue"[]

Ibarra attends a meeting with Santo Padre. He has been stripped of his kutte by Canche for his partnership with Santo Padre and as a result, cannot go in to Templo, the club are meeting in the Santo Padre clubhouse. Solis, the President of Sahuarita is also present. Ibarra explains that Canche has taken the shipment and will distribute when things look desperate, acting as if he is the hero.

Ibarra also jokes about the recent death of Ramos, Santo Padre were able to kill him off, meaning there is only two Kings left. Solis warns them that Canche is a powerful Mayan and has the support of a lot of people, the club reiterate the plan to kill Canche and leave Bishop the one king.

"The House of Death Floats By"[]

Bishop speaks to Ibarra and they plan to take out Canche the following day. Ibarra laments that he feels "naked" without his kutte.

Santo Padre and Tucson later celebrate the safe return of Neron "Creeper" Vargas of Santo Padre and Pavia, who had been in jail after the meeting with Diaz and Oakland went wrong. The mood shifts suddenly after Esteban "Steve" Estrada, who had just been patched in as a member of Santo Padre commits suicide inside the cluhhouse.

"Chapter the Last, Nothing More to Write"[]

Santo Padre Mayans return from their attempted hit on Canche, they learn there was numerous casualties and Canche is believed to be among them. They celebrate the crowning of Bishop as the sole king.

Diaz meets with the other club presidents after Santo Padre has successfully killed Ramos and believe that they have killed Canche. Ibarra, the former Tucson President who had his kutte pulled by Canche after discovering his agreement with Santo Padre, is also present and is trying to convince the others that Santo Padre is doing the right thing for the Mayans organization. Diaz asks Ibarra how the Mayans should deal with everything that's happened, and Ibarra responds that the brothers should "forgive each other our trespasses and move forward." After a moment, Diaz finally nods in assent. Ibarra goes to leave but Diaz stops him, bringing out his kutte and gesturing for Ibarra to turn around so he can assist him in putting it on. Diaz helps Ibarra into his kutte before declaring "fuck your trespasses, and fuck your king," shooting Ibarra in the back of the head as Canche appears behind him, very much alive.
