Hope was a former Crow-Eater on the FX show Sons of Anarchy and later a drug abuser and former resident of Meth Mountain on Mayans M.C. Played by American actress Vanessa Giselle. Hope makes her debut on Sons of Anarchy during the episode "Orca Shrugged" in season five. She is seen laying in Gemma's bed and later appears briefly in season six and seven.

Biography[]
Hope lived a miserable and traumatic life in Stockton. Her mother was a prostitute and drug addict and Hope followed in her footsteps, needing a way to feed her heroin addiction. Hope later moved to Charming and became a Crow-Eater for the Sons of Anarchy. Unfortunately, Hope ended up leaving Charming and returning to Stockton for drug related reasons.
Hope later relapsed and became a member of Meth Mountain, a small community of drug addicts who try to live a life free from rules and judgement. Whilst there, she is threatened and manipulated by Isaac Packer, the leader of Meth Mountain.
Hope later meets Mayans Motorcycle Club, Santo Padre member Johnny "Coco" Cruz after he becomes a regular at Meth Mountain also and the pair fall in love. Hope is eventually rescued from Meth Mountain and Isaac by Coco. The pair move in together and attempt to get clean from heroin which they are both successful in doing so. Hope finds her transition back in to normal life incredibly difficult and is unable to hold down a job and is regularly ridiculed by Coco's daughter, Leticia Cruz, despite trying her best to get along with her. Hope's new life is torn apart when Coco is murdered by the Sons of Anarchy, a rival motorcycle club.

After Opie Winston's wake, Hope can be seeing lying in bed at Diosa International after sleeping with Gemma Teller Morrow.
Season 6[]
"The Mad King"[]
Hope is seen again during the lock-down at the Sons of Anarchy clubhouse, Teller-Morrow. She can be seen helping make and distribute food to everyone inside, with the help of Chuck Marstein and multiple Crow-Eaters.
She is later seen sitting at a table with members of the Rogue River Charter drinking and talking. When Jax Teller realizes that the IRA have planted an explosive in a keg, he orders everyone to flee the clubhouse. Hope makes her exit with the others and watches Teller-Morrow explode.
Season 7[]
"Black Widower"[]
Hope is seen at the home of Jax Teller with Gemma, Thomas Teller II, Ratboy Skogstrom, Brooke Putner, Allesandro Montez and a few Crow-Eaters. She is making lunch for Abel Teller to take to school. Gemma approaches Abel to kiss him, Hope assures Gemma that she'll take care of him.

"Xaman-Ek"[]
Hope is first seen as a prostitute in this episode, trading sexual favours for cash to get her next fix. She is present when the two corrupt cops she is with, O'Grady and Pollen accidentally shoot and kill Mayans Stockton member, Medina.
"Camazotz"[]
Hope takes the phone left by O'Grady and brings it to the Stockton clubhouse, hoping for safety. Hope learns that she will assist the Mayans in drawing out O'Grady. Hope soon reaches out to him saying that he can have the phone back. O'Grady arrives at the location and Hope immediately makes him suspicious, he draws his gun and she attempts to run in to the derelict building where she claims the phone is, he grabs her by her hair and marches her inside, held at gunpoint. Once he is inside he is immediately surrounded by Mayans. He threatens Hope but they tell him they don't care about her; but if he shoots he dies. They want to know where Pollen is and convince him that he has left him to clean up the mess all by himself. O'Grady realises there might be some truth to this and releases Hope before he is knocked out.
The club then plan to use O'Grady to draw out Pollen, O'Grady informs the club where he lives and they send Hope in once again to draw him out whilst the club enter his house, upon hearing chaos inside Pollen leaves Hope and returns inside.
Season 3[]
"The Orneriness of Kings"[]
Hope has become a resident of Meth Mountain. One night some commotion occurs, someone attempted to rob the mountain. Hope goes to see who is responsible and discovered it to be Coco, a man she recognised from the Mayans Motorcycle Club.
"Overreaching Don't Pay"[]
Hope is glad to have Coco by her side, she helps him shoot up heroin as the pair grow closer. Once he passes out Isaac enters Hope's trailer and takes photos of Coco, she is then handed more drugs by Isaac.
"Dark, Deep-laid Plans"[]
Hope is at her trailer ready to welcome Coco back again. She knows he was tasked with stealing from his club which he has completed.
"You Can't Pray a Lie"[]
Coco is still at meth mountain and is having sex with Hope. Coco comforts Hope as she tells him how disgusting she thinks she is and how miserable her life is. Hope asks about Coco's mother to which he responds that he "sees her all the time". This could be a reference to how he sees her in himself now that he is an addict too.
"What Comes of Handlin' Snakeskin"[]
Hope visits Coco at his house after he left Meth Mountain. Hope learns that Coco has a daughter and the pair shoot heroin. Hope is saddened to realise that Coco doesn't really want to see her and just wants her drugs.
"A Mixed-up and Splendid Rescue"[]
Hope awakens to shouting, she finds Coco's daughter, Leticia Cruz sobbing over his unconscious body, Hope quickly injects him with some narcan to bring him round. Letty jumps on Hope and begins to scream in her face blaming her for what is happening to Coco.
Hope later tries to apologise for Letty. Letty curses her out saying that Coco is all she has and she never knew about Letty because Coco is an addict, and people around him come second. Hope admits that she loves Coco and says she wants to get clean.
Later that night whilst Coco is sleeping, Hope goes to return to Meth Mountain after what Letty told her, she passes Letty on her way out and says nothing.
"The House of Death Floats By"[]
Hope has returned to Meth Mountain. She awakens one night to see that Coco has some to rescue her, they get outside a trailer but are immediately held at gunpoint. Hope is taken away by Butterfly.
"Chapter the Last, Nothing More to Write"[]
Isaac keeps Hope close to his side as Coco and Gilberto "Gilly" Lopez go on a tear at Meth Mountain after Gilly rescued him, they set fire to the drug stash. Coco demands Isaac let Hope go but he offers her a choice, to stay free, or to leave and return to the real world. Hope approaches and tells Coco that Isaac will never let her leave and he has to leave alone, she returns to Isaac. Gilly escorts Coco away as Isaac monologues, suddenly Coco runs back and shoots Isaac in the throat whilst Gilly drops an armed Meth Mountain resident. Butterfly intervenes and calms the violence as Coco picks up Hope and the trio leave.
Season 4[]
"Hymn Among the Ruins"[]
Hope has now moved in with Coco and Letty. They are both on the road to recovery and Hope's life is looking up. Hope is woken up by Letty's music and goes to ask her to turn it down. Hope pleads with her saying that she closed at her work last night and she wants some sleep. Letty berates Hope and reminds her that this isn't her house.
Later that night, Hope walks home from her shift and sees Letty arguing outside with her boyfriend before exiting his car and cursing him out. Knowing that Letty is going to be gunning for an argument, Hope makes her way inside the house and tries to comfort Letty, telling her she deserves better. Letty thanks her and sarcastically remarks, "words of wisdom from a junkie piece of shit."
"A Crow Flew By"[]
Coco speaks to Hope before he heads out to the club, she asks if he can pick her up from her job as she doesn't like walking home, Coco says he is busy but agrees before kissing Hope and leaving.
She later leaves her job at a supermarket feeling down, Coco had not come to pick her up.
"Death of the Virgin"[]
Hope returns to her mundane job and everything is a blur as she serves rude customers. She eventually loses her cool and smashes a box of eggs, screams and exits the store.
Hope walks home and is stopped by some junkies. They crack jokes and Hope smiles with them, they mention they are in town to visit Meth Mountain which rattles Hope and she quickly leaves.
Coco rings Hope and she tells him that she thinks she needs help and she isn't doing good. Coco tells her that as long as they have each other she will be fine. Coco tells Hope that when he returns tomorrow he will bring her somewhere. They affirm their love for each other before hanging up.
"When I Die, I Want Your Hands on My Eyes"[]
Hope is devastated to learn of Coco's death. After their final phone call, he was killed in a drive by in Oakland. She sobs alone and Letty soon enters, assuming she wants her out, Hope tells her that she will leave tomorrow. Letty tearfully tells Hope that she shouldn't leave and the two comfort each other.
"When the Breakdown Hit at Midnight"[]
Hope sits in a dingy alleyway with a group of punks, they are shooting heroin and Hope is convinced to join in, she hesitates before injecting herself; knowing that once she does she'll be hooked again. Letty eventually arrives after trying to find the missing Hope. Letty is able to convince Hope to not return to her previous life after mentioning that Coco wouldn't want that. Hope gets in Letty's car and the pair leave.
Season 5[]
"I Hear the Train A-Comin"[]
Six months after the death of Coco, Letty and Hope are struggling to survive. They are shaking down local drug dealers and selling the stock to Louie, a local gangbanger who gives them a small commission. Hope is working on a mark but the man pressures Hope and tells her there is other ways to pay, backed against the door, Letty barges in and gives the man a nutshot before stealing his stash, the pair flee. Hope returns inside to free the man's caged bird to which Letty notes that she is "fucking weird".
The pair then return to Coco's house to see they are being evicted, as Coco never payed for the rent and Hope and Letty are a year behind on their rent. The landlord quickly runs off after serving the notice as Letty tries to attack him as Hope holds her back.
They go back to Louie and Letty demands that they need more money or the pair will be evicted, Louie asks Letty if she wants to get back in to porn, but Letty isn't very interested. Letty threatens Louie saying that she will expose him to the other deals for robbing them. Louie gives in and says he has a big, but dangerous job.
"Do You Hear the Rain"[]
Letty and Hope prepare to embark on their dangerous task set by Louie, to secure a big payday and save their house from repossession.
Hope waits in line at the dealer's home, she pays attention to how long the queue is, knowing if it takes too long Letty will burst in at the wrong time. As she stares around the room, she can't help but notice a guitar in the room, it looks oddly familiar but she can't quite place it. Her brain whirs as she finally realises and quickly attempts to leave, one of the guards tells her to wait her turn and pushes her back in to the line. Seconds later, Letty barges in with a knife, a gun is quickly placed to her head as she reaches to grab Hope's hand.
A man emerges from the room opposite, and calls out Hope's name, she recognises him as Butterfly, the dealer from meth mountain, although she already suspected it was him due to the signature guitar he used to play.
Without warning, Letty stabs one of the armed gangsters and makes a dash to the table where there is a duffel bag full of cash, the pair then flee, as bullets whizz past them they dart outside and in to Letty's car.
Later that night, the pair are counting the cash they made, over $17k. Hope is incredibly concerned however with Butterfly, insisting that they can't stay here anymore, now that he knows where they are, Isaac is sure to follow. Letty is furious, telling Hope that she isn't leaving her home and isn't scared at all. Hope continues to insist and this makes Letty angrier, telling her that this home is all she has left of Coco and if Hope wants to leave she is welcome to. Hope disappears and reappears a few moments later with some ice cream, essentially stating that she isn't going to leave Letty behind.
"I Want Nothing but Death"[]
Later that night, Letty and Hope crash. Hope is startled awake by a Son who drags her in to Letty's room where she observed Letty in a similar situation as her. Isaac is mounting her he notes how much she looks like Coco, as Letty's eyes dart wildly across the room she sees Hope, Isaac insinuates he is going to take Hope from her just as Coco once did from him, and the only way she is getting her back is if she does something for him.
"Her Blacks Crackle and Drag"[]
Hope is imprisoned in the SAMDINO clubhouse. Terry Drakos, the Vice President is guarding her. Hope feebly begs for Terry to release her but Terry refuses, stating that she knows how Isaac is. Seconds later, he enters, yelling that he is "great!". Isaac reminds Hope that he won't be feeding her until... and points at a plate with a heroin needle on it. Hope refuses once again, telling Isaac that Letty is going to come for her. Isaac tells Hope that she has forgotten about her. However, if she does come, he will kill her in front of Hope. "Momentum always brings you back to me" he smiles at her, before kissing her on the forehead. He leaves, telling Terry that the men have business, so he should stay behind to gossip with Hope.
As Isaac and the Sons leave for the night, Terry brings Hope some food, telling her that she can't tell anyone he has bought it for her. Terry hears commotion outside and draws his gun. Letty barges in to the room, a hostage in front of her, she comes face to face with Terry. A shot rings out, Letty is shocked to see that Terry has executed the woman, he tells the pair to flee, leading them through the clubhouse, he kills a further two women, making it looks like the clubhouse was attacked and Hope escaped in the chaos.
As Letty and Hope speed away from San Bernardino on the highway. Hope says that she believes Isaac will find them, Letty attempts to convince her otherwise as Hope begins to sob and starts to scream for Letty to pull the car over. Letty eventually does so and Hope immediately gets out. Letty tries to talk to Hope but she is mostly unresponsive. Hope finally speaks, she thanks Letty for giving her a home, being her best friend and confesses that the last few months have been the best of her life, and she refuses to allow Isaac to ruin it. Hope continues, with tears in her eyes stating that she knows Isaac will never stop seeking her and Letty will end up hurt. "I love you, and now I have to set you free." Hope chokes through her tears to Letty before walking backwards in to the traffic, she is struck by a semi truck and is instantly killed.
