Greensleeves is the seventh episode of the seventh season of Sons of Anarchy.
Synopsis
In order to undermine a powerful club enemy SAMCRO makes an unlikely partnership.
Plot
Jax and the boys face Juice on the side of a road, where Jaxs dad died decades ago. Juice says hes sorry, then is allowed to get on his bike and ride off. Back at Gemmas, she checks in with Wendy, who says something is up with Abel. Gemma is dismissive, saying hell be fine. Gemma is not fine. She tells Wendy the club has Juice, but she has no idea if he talked. Gemma gives Wendy a chance to take off if she wants, saying shell take responsibility. Wendy declines. Gemma admits that she has no idea what Jax will do if Juice did tell him, and thats what scares her.
Meanwhile, Juice rides up to some parked highway patrol officers and opens fire, not trying to hit them. Then he drops the gun and rides off. Rat and Montez follow the procession of following cops in the van. At Red Woody (where a Jewish-themed porno titled (Rhymes with lox) and bagels films in the background), Unser tells Jax that Deputy Eglee is awake and told only him what happened when she was ambushed. Unser asks for Jaxs word that Eglee is safe, then assures him her memory will stay vague. When Unser asks about Juice, Jax says hes still missing.
Out on the road, Juice runs into roadblock and stops his bike. Dozens of patrol men order him to put his hands up. He thinks about it, then does as hes told. Rat watches as Juice is uneventfully taken into custody. Back at church, they get word from Rat. Jax acknowledges theyre taking a risk with Juice, but Chibs also knows that all Juice wants is the clubs forgiveness. If the plan works, Juice will be the one to finally take out Lin. They discuss a good place to put the pastors body.
Jax laments that theyre going head to head with August Marks, but says he saw it coming. With his money, Marks can buy protection and intel. Thats why we need to handle him with leverage, not blood. But that choice puts us all here at risk, I need you to know that, Jax says. But they have the Niners and Mayans on their side. Jax thanks the club for their loyalty and faith in him as he sought personal vengeance.
After they adjourn, Unser tells them about Juice shooting at cops and being taken in. Something about the clubs reaction strikes Unser as odd. At TM, Chuckie brings Gemma cigarettes and lets her know hell listen if she needs to talk. She heads outside when Nero pulls up. He tells her its time for him to make a decision about whats right. An uncle of his will sell him his farm for $150,000 down. He wants Jax to buy him out of Diosa and hell take his son with him. He wants Gemma to come with him and bring the boys, but she says she cant leave with everything going on. He asks her to think about it. Take into consideration all the bad (stuff) thats happened here. We deserve something better, Gemma, he says.
She agrees to think about it. After Nero rides off, Unser arrives and tells Gemma about Juice and that hes in County. Unser tells Gemma he could tell the club already knew about Juice and theyre working him for something. Gemma tells him he doesnt need to move his trailer and asks him not to go. I dont want anyone else leaving me, she says, hugging him tight. Jax, Chibs and Happy go to the church to talk to the pastors step-son and widow. They tell them theyve been watching August Marks and saw his thugs burying the body at a construction spot. Jax asks for their help in stopping Marks. They want her to sign a statement saying Marks threatened them into signing the agreement. That plus her husbands body should be enough of a threat to back Marks off.
The stepson tells Jax that one of his stepfathers suppliers has been blackmailing them. He has cell phone footage of the pastor with young men. If it comes out, the churchs reputation will be ruined. She thinks itll also weaken any statement against Marks. Jax says the club can handle the blackmailer, a pimp named Greensleeves. He offers Lucretia use of their cabin and Gemmas help getting her off heroin. She agrees and Jax gives her the statement to sign.
Jax asks for a copy to show Marks. Jax tries to reassure the stepson. Outside, Jax tells Rat and Montez to have the pastors wife and stepson follow them to the cabin. He tells Rat to tell Gemma to go to the cabin. Jax realizes Rat is afraid of Gemma. We all are, Happy adds. Nero meets with Chibs and Jax. He agrees to point out Greensleeves when Jax says innocent people are going to get hurt. Nero asks for ten minutes with Jax for Diosa stuff when its done.
In County, Juice is angry when he gets put in isolation instead of general population. Nero points out the blackmailer on the street then hangs back. Meanwhile, Greensleeves literally twists the arm of one of his girls, then gives her a pep talk about going out with a john whos hurt her in the past. Chibs and Jax approach him, with Chibs eventually socking him in the gut. But then the girls tackle Jax and Greensleeves manages to get into his Hummer and drive off, crushing Jaxs ride and nearly running over Nero in the process.
Jax, Chibs and Nero stop his girl Winsome and Nero suggests a career move to Diosa for information on Greensleeves. Later, they bust in on Greensleeves in his place. He grabs a strung out girl off his couch and holds a knife to her throat. As he starts to go for a gun on a table, Chibs shoots him in the shoulder. Greensleeves tells them where to find the phone with the blackmail material on it. Jax tosses him through a window, leaving him hanging halfway out.
Later, with Winsome waiting in his car, Nero asks Jax to buy him out. Jax tries to assure him things are settling down, but Nero has heard it before. When Jax tells Nero that Greensleeves wont be able to hurt Winsome anymore, Nero mutters: And you wonder why I want out. In the car, Winsome asks Nero if hes a gangster. I dont think so, he says. Rat and Happy pull up to TM and tell Gemma that Jax wants her to come with them to the cabin. Shes nervous and resists. Happy and Rat are fidgety and she mistakes their nervousness for a threat. Unser pulls up as shes getting in the van with them and tries to make sense of what hes seeing.
Tyler comes to meet with Chibs and Jax. They give him Lucretias statement against Marks and ask Tyler to give it to him at the park at 6 p.m. The Mayans will be there, but the club wont. Back at her house, Gemma packs her gun. At a Pope construction site, Bobby, Tig and Quinn drop the pastors body in the ground with a Pope construction sign on it and snap a picture to send to Tyler. Then they bury him.
Wendy comes home from picking Abel up at preschool early. He got into a shoving match with a first grader. Gemma picks up Thomas in the bedroom and tearfully tries to explain that sometimes accidents happen and she was just trying to be a good grandmother. Killing your mommy was an accident. I didnt want to kill her, I didnt mean it, Gemma sobs. Abel stands in the doorway and hears it all.
Later, Wendy reassures Gemma that Jax wouldnt hurt her. Who knows what Juice told him? Gemma says. What does that mean? Wendy asks. Theyre interrupted by Happy coming for Gemma. At Diosa, Nero makes his business pitch to Marcus Alvarez to buy him out for $300,000. Marcus agrees to bring it to his table.
Nero gets an urgent call from Wendy about Gemma being taken to the cabin. Unser goes to pick up Jaxs bike and tells him that Wendy just called him, too, and said Gemma was freaking out. Jax has no idea what hes talking about, but assumes Happy freaked her out. Bobby volunteers to go up to the cabin to smooth things over.
Tig gets confirmation from Tyler that Marks will be at the meet tonight. Gemma arrives at the cabin, and gets even more nervous when Montez tells her to head into the bedroom. She steps into the kitchen for a drink and grabs her gun. She confused, then incredibly relieved when she sees the pastors wife and stepson in the bedroom and learns she really is there for a mother and son family problem.
Out on the road in the Buick, Bobby is enjoying the open road when a BMW and Mercedes surround him and force him off the road. He survives the crash, but knows hes in trouble when he sees Marks guys piling out of the cars. At the meeting at the park, Jax and the Sons wait with Marcus Alvarez and the Mayans for August Marks, but he doesnt show. Wendy checks on Abel in bed and he pretends to be asleep, but is really filled with all of the dark secrets and violence he has learned.

In County, a member of the AB is brought in to talk to Juice. Nero shows up at the cabin to check on Gemma. She quickly pretends that she called him for help cleaning up Lucretia. At the park, Marks is an hour late. Finally, Marks head of security, Moses Cartwright, who was in one of the cars that forced Bobby off the road, pulls up. He presents Jax with a small cardboard box, saying Marks reply to their offer is inside. I really admire your level of camaraderie. I can see that brotherhood is important to all of you, Moses says, leaving them with the mystery box.
Jax cuts it open and finds a tablet and Bobbys cuts inside. They watch the video, and see Bobbys eye being cut out. Jax opens the Tupperware in the box. It contains a bloody eyeball. Chibs leans on Tig for support, Jax simply walks away into the dark night.
