Gabriela Castilo, also known as Gaby was a recurring character on Mayans MC, a spinoff of the FX original series Sons of Anarchy. Played by American actress Sulem Calderon. Gaby makes her debut in the season two episode, "Tohil". Gaby is a main character throughout season three and also appears in season four.

Biography[]
Gaby is a young Mexican woman whose family migrated to the states. She has had a rough life but doesn't let it get her down, she is always smiling and is good natured. She has ambitions of being a nurse but is caught up within the Mayans Motorcycle Club, when she becomes romantically involved with member, Ezekiel "EZ" Reyes. Her unbreaking spirit to do good ultimately leads to her demise as she is killed by her former lover, EZ to protect his brother from justice.
Season 2[]
"Tohil"[]
Gaby is first introduced to us as a friend of Leticia Cruz. Letty tries to get her father, Mayans member Johnny "Coco" Cruz to assist in saving Gaby's family from "coyotes", who are the people who her family paid to get them across the border. The coyotes were the Vatos Malditos Motorcycle Club.
Gaby travels with Coco and Letty to the Santo Padre clubhouse and waits outside whilst the club meet. Whilst she is waiting she admires the clubhouse and meet EZ. The two talk and discuss Gaby's Spanish poetry tattoo which EZ says his mother used to read to him.
Gaby stays at the clubhouse whilst the club head out to rescue her family and the other hostages from the VM. Gaby is overjoyed when the club return with her mother and brother who she hasn't seen in months. Gaby is very thankful to the club.
"Itzam-Ye"[]
Gaby is working in her uncle's food truck. EZ comes to visit her and we learn that her mother and brother have gone to Lodi to try and hide out until they are able to obtain documentation. Gaby is still in Santo Padre for school and is living with her uncle. EZ asks Gaby out and she happily accepts.
Season 3[]
"Pap Struggles with the Death Angel"[]
EZ and Gaby go out on a date. Gaby gifts EZ a totem which if whispered to, will take away all your sorrows and hold secrets. EZ is confused but is very grateful for Gaby’s gift. Gaby explains to EZ that she lives in fear as there have been border crackdowns recently and many illegals are being imported but the US is still much safer than where she fled from. EZ admits to Gaby that he learned Spanish whilst he was in prison, he was anxious to tell Gaby but to his surprise she tells him that she already knows and Letty told her, she then expresses concern for his bloodied knuckles but EZ tells her that he injured his hands mending his bike. EZ then asks Gaby if she would like to get breakfast with him tomorrow to which she accepts.
"The Orneriness of Kings"[]
Gaby rides on the back of EZ's bike as he heads home to check on his father, Felipe Reyes. Gaby is asked to wait outside but sneaks in and tells EZ she wanted to see where he grew up. Gaby notices that the home is quite a mess and EZ explains that Felipe hasn't been feeling well lately. Gaby begins to clean the house and says EZ should leave her there while he goes to a club meeting and can pick her up later. EZ tries to talk her out of it as Felipe has been very sad and hostile recently but Gaby won't hear it.
Felipe later awakens and finds Gaby in his house, he questions her and she introduces herself and says that she is a friend of EZ. Felipe tells Gaby to leave but she insists she wants to help and says she will finish cleaning and cooking him breakfast whilst he showers.
EZ later returns after being absent all day and finds Gaby and Felipe eating dinner and talking. Felipe seems happy enough but feigns annoyance when EZ arrives, telling him that he "doesn't need a fucking babysitter". Gaby says farewell to Felipe and tells him she hopes he feels better tomorrow. Gaby and EZ leave.
"Overreaching Don't Pay"[]
Felipe once again awakens to find Gaby in his house cooking lunch. Felipe notices her textbooks and she explains that she is studying to be a nurse. Felipe explains that once upon a time EZ was going to study medicine too. EZ later returns to collect Gaby and drops her home. EZ expresses his gratitude for Gaby giving up her time to help Felipe. Gaby insists that it is nice to have company during the day as she misses her family and thinks Felipe is a good man. Gaby passionately kisses EZ before leaving.
"Our Gang's Dark Oath"[]
Gaby is seen helping Felipe clean his butcher shop in preparation for him reopening. Felipe seems to be ready to get his life back on track with assistance from Gaby.
Gaby later goes back to EZ's trailer for the first time. EZ remarks there won't be much to work with in his trailer as it's quite empty. The two prepare to make dinner. EZ admits that he doesn't really listen to music and Gaby turns some on and they listen together before kissing again, EZ zones out, making Gaby very upset, she tries to talk to him to get through to him but he is like a closed book, Gaby leaves.
"Dark, Deep Laid Plans"[]
EZ enters Felipe's butcher shop to try and speak to Gaby, he offers her a ride home but she refuses saying that her uncle is picking her up. EZ insists he wants to talk but Gaby doesn't seem to want to, she tells EZ she can't ride on his bike as she's wearing a dress. Felipe throws EZ his keys saying he can take the truck, Gaby is annoyed but can't help but smile.
EZ drives Gaby home, Gaby explains that she can't trust EZ yet and he says that they will work on it. He drives to a vendor on the street where Gaby's favourite food is sold, Gaby is happy to indulge as EZ steps outside and goes to the vendor to purchase some snacks. Gaby is horrified when a man approaches EZ from behind with a gun, she screams at him and EZ is able to tackle the man, Gaby can't see what is happening but is relieved when EZ stumbles back in to the truck and manages to drive away, they stop to compose themselves but realise that EZ has been shot in the chest.
"You Can't Pray a Lie"[]
Gaby is able to drag a nearly unconscious EZ out of the van and to a hospital, she sobs in the lobby as she waits, covered in EZ's blood.
The following morning Gaby brings EZ some clothes and meets some other members of the club who have come to see him. EZ will survive his gunshot wound. EZ is quick to get out of the hospital and leaves with Gaby after changing, he tells her he wants to show her something. Back at the trailer, Gaby is surprised to see another woman outside of EZ's trailer, she seemed very concerned and tells Gaby she is very pretty before quickly and awkwardly leaving. They ride out of Santo Padre and stop at a church, EZ explains more about himself and Gaby assists him in changing his bandages. EZ explains who the woman was that visited the trailer earlier but Gaby insists that she doesn't care about EZ's past she only cares about him staying safe in the dangerous world he lives in.
They arrive at their location, it's the ocean, after Gaby previously explained to EZ that she has never been. Gaby excitedly swims in the sea. As night approaches they make a campfire and make love by it as Gaby asks EZ to stay with her this time.
"What Comes of Handlin' Snakeskin"[]
Gaby makes dinner with her family and then receives a call from EZ while he is out of town on club business, she is interrupted by her brother but ushers him away so she can continue her conversation. EZ is coming to meet Gaby's family later that night.
Gaby and EZ later dine with her family.
"A Mixed-up and Splendid Rescue"[]
EZ and Gaby make dinner for a Reyes family dinner later. Gaby confesses to EZ that she has applied for nursing school and was accepted, unfortunately the school is in Lodi.
Angel Reyes, EZ's brother arrives and they sit to dinner. Gaby tells the family that she might be moving to Lodi and Angel questions it and begins to become irritated and aggressive as he had been drinking a lot. Angel questions what Gaby is going to do in Santo Padre with EZ before pouring his drink on the table telling her "Welcome to the family" before leaving. Gaby rushes to clean the mess he left but Felipe too becomes angry, slamming the table demanding Gaby to leave the mess.
EZ and Gaby later walk and EZ apologises for Angel's behaviour earlier. EZ tells Gaby that he doesn't want her to leave but doesn't want to halt her dreams either. Gaby explains she left Mexico because there was so much danger and fear and she doesn't want anything like that in her life again, EZ getting shot was the last time. EZ promises her it won't happen again.
EZ and Gaby go in to town and stop by an ice cream parlour, EZ heads outside to take a phone call. Inside, two men are racist towards Gaby and she goes to leave, EZ stops her and realises what has upset her, he runs in to the parlour and begins to brutally beat the two men inside, lost in his rage he accidentally hits Gaby in the face and is quickly arrested when cops swarm him.
"The House of Death Floats By"[]
Gaby later looks out of her window and sees that EZ has come to try and make amends, her uncle answers the door and tells EZ that Gaby isn't here. EZ goes to leave but Gaby stops him. EZ begins to explain himself but Gaby tells him that she can't handle his violence anymore and his involvement with the club. She has also decided to move to Lodi and if EZ really loves her then he will let her leave.
Later that night Gaby later finds EZ pounding on the front door again, he tells her that he is going to leave the club and wants to go with her to Lodi.
"Chapter the Last, Nothing More to Write"[]
Gaby visits Felipe to say goodbye to him, he gives her a generous sum of money for all of his help and a necklace that belonged to Marisol Reyes, Felipe's wife. Felipe tells Gaby she had made the right choice and Gaby finally admits to Felipe that EZ is leaving to go to Lodi with her. Felipe asks Gaby to sit and he begins to explain their dark family history. Felipe tells Gaby that EZ will drag her down and ruin her, the Reyes family can't be fixed. Gaby begins to sob as she hears this tough truth that she has always known deep down, Felipe begs Gaby to save herself.
Gaby later writes a note for EZ which she leaves on her door for him to find. She sobs as her and her uncle leave town, clutching the necklace Felipe gave her.
Season 4[]
"A Crow Flew By"[]
Gaby doesn't appear in this episode but we see a postcard she has sent to Felipe. She tells him that she got her internship and she misses Felipe.
"Dialogue with the Mirror"[]
Gaby at some point began working in the UC Davis hospital as she continues her studies to be a nurse. Gunshots ring out in the hospital one day and Gaby witnesses her friend, Gerald, the security guard being shot as he exchanged fire with the attackers, she rushed to his aid before turning to see the attackers, she is horrified to see it is EZ and Angel. Angel quickly grabs her and ushers her out of the building, realising she is a witness. Gaby is then bundled in to a stolen car as is fired at again as the brother's flee the hospital, terrified, she catches EZ's eyes in the rear mirror.
They later pull over and Gaby sits alone. EZ sits with Gaby and she is very shaken and disturbed; she mentions that the man that Angel killed, he was a friend and she knew his family well, Gaby then says that Angel is a monster and she will go to the police. EZ attempts to plea with Gaby to not go to the police saying that Angel is going to be a father. Gaby tells EZ that she misses him and she never should've listened to what Felipe said about EZ which caused Gaby to leave town. EZ tells her that everything Felipe told her is true. Gaby tells EZ that she loves him and she knows that deep down he is a good man; but Angel is not and he needs to answer for what he has done. A gunshot rings out and we see Gaby collapse on to the grass as EZ brandishes his gun.
