Esai Alvarez was a member of the Oakland charter of the Mayans Motorcycle Club on the FX original series Sons of Anarchy. Played by American actor Kevin Alejandro. Esai makes his debut on the episode "The Pull" in the series' first season, as the son of the Oakland charter President, Marcus Alvarez. Esai met his demise in the series' subsequent episode, "Hell Followed", in the same season.

Esai was a full patched member of the Mayans Oakland charter of the Mayans Motorcycle Club.
SoA Season 1[]
"The Pull"[]
Esai Alvarez goes with his father to meet with Ernest Darby, the leader of the Nordics. Darby wants the Mayans to kill SAMCRO President Clay Morrow in exchange for information on their IRA contacts. Marcus wants to kill Clay and also Darby, therefore eliminating any loose ends and Esai offers to carry out the hit with his crew. That night, Esai and another Mayan, Jesse Murphy, shoot up Darby’s home, killing a Nord member and the two women they were with, though Darby escapes with his life. Esai's crew simultaneously attack Clay during a meeting with IRA front man Cameron Hayes but this is also a failure ("The Pull").
"Hell Followed"[]
Later, Esai meets with his father at the park. Marcus tells his son that he isn't disappointed in both of the hits failing, because it allowed him to sit down with SAMCRO and make a deal with them, allowing the Mayans to buy guns. They get some churros and Marcus hugs his son and says, “I love you, mijo.” A second later, unbeknownst to Esai, SAMCRO member Happy Lowman, disguised as the churro vendor turns and stabs an ice pick into the back of Esai's head, killing him. Marcus then pulls out an envelope filled with cash and hands it to disguised Happy.

Esai is mentioned in this episode by Mayans Yuma member Manny. He tells the story of how he heard that Alvarez had his son killed for the club by a SAMCRO reaper who had numerous smiley face tattoos.
