Dita Galindo was the mother of Miguel Galindo on Mayans MC, a spinoff of the FX original series Sons of Anarchy. Played by American actress Ada Maris, Dita makes her debut in the series' second episode, "Escorpión/Dzec", in season one, and plays a recurring role as a main antagonist throughout the same and following season.

Biography[]
Dita was married to Jose Galindo, but his involvement with the business left her stranged, and hurt. She got to know Ignacio Cortina, a Policia Federal on Galindo's payroll with whom she had an affair which would eventually leave her pregnant with their son, Miguel Galindo. Eventually Ignacio met Isabel, a fell in love with her and the two fled. Dita felt hurt and betrayed by this and stuck with Jose until his death. Eventually when the Galindo Cartel moved into Santo Padre, Dita would come to find Ignacio and Isabel's new home now under the names of Felipe Reyes and Marisol Reyes. Still hurt by Felipe leaving her, she would hire a hitman, Happy Lowman to execute both of them as revenge. Unfortunately, Happy succeeded in killing Marisol but failed to do the same to Felipe. Dita wears wigs to cover up large burn scars on her back and head.
Season 1[]
"Escorpión/Dzec"[]
Devante, Galindo Cartel associate speaks to Dita Galindo, Miguel's mother after learning of the shocking news that Cristobal, Miguel's son has been kidnapped by Los Olvidados, a rebel group determined to bring down the cartel. Dita assures Devante that Miguel has a lot of his father in him and he will make the right call.
Dita is later invited in to a room to speak to Devante and Miguel. Dita sadly explains that Miguel's brother, also named Cristobal was kidnapped by a rival cartel and killed. Miguel always believed that his brother died of pneumonia. Jose Galindo, Miguel's father refused to bend to the cartel and as a result his son was killed, Dita explains that once they had Miguel their lives moved on. Miguel questions Devante asking if he really wants him to do the same and Devante confirms this, the only way to try to get his son back is to draw first blood, fear will always be the best weapon. Dita apologises for lying to Miguel and leaves.
Dita is followed out by Devante and she tells him that she doesn't know who she hates more, him or herself.
Emily sees Miguel exit the room and attempts to speak to him but he ignores her and exits the house. Dita approaches Emily and tells her to leave Miguel, he is exhausted from his efforts in trying to find Cristobal.
"Búho/Muwan"[]
Emily speaks to Dita and says she wants to go to the square, where Miguel had some Los Olvidados associates killed to try and find some information. Dita says that Miguel will not allow it but Emily pulls on her heart strings and the pair head out to the square.

Once there, Emily attempts to interrogate Dita further, Dita reveals that the retaliation was Devante's call but Emily still blames Miguel. Emily realises there is nothing to be found in the square and the pair leave.
"Bat/Zotz"[]
Before heading to the Santa Madre parade; Dita offers some advice to Emily in terms of how she should tread carefully now this is her life. Emily insists she isn't too involved with the cartel and just wants her son back but Dita isn't so sure.
They arrive at the parade, whilst the church is vacant, Nestor and his team vandalise it with Los Olvidados propaganda, they also murder the nun who was seen helping Adelita in the video and leave her inside the church, making it look like Los Olvidados again. Emily is horrified to see the dead nun as none of this was part of her plan, as the crowd realise what has happened Emily is caught in a stampede on the way out of the church.
"Gato/Mis"[]
Dita is becoming increasingly annoyed that Emily is becoming more involved with Miguel's business, she is regularly meeting with Miguel and Devante to discuss business plans
Dita arrives to a meeting between Nestor, Emily and Miguel and says that Miguel has a phone call from someone called "Adelita". Devante quickly dials in and the woman on the other end speaks. She explains that she represents Los Olvidados and has the demands to return Cristobal. Adelita demands 7 million pesos in cryptocurrency and that Miguel crosses the border to Mexico alone and then she will tell him where his son is. After the call ends, Miguel tells Emily to prepare the money and for Nestor to hit the location they have for the camp and to kill everyone.
Miguel, Emily, Devante and Dita travel to the border as Miguel prepares to cross to retrieve Cristobal. Miguel appears again soon, clutching Cristobal and they are all relieved to see him. Before he can make it to the gate however he is taken aside by border patrol agents as they all impatiently wait.
"Cucaracha/K'uruch"[]
Devante, Emily and Dita wait all night, through to the following morning and Miguel still hasn't been released. Devante approaches Emily and says they have gotten no where with the lawyer on trying to free Miguel. They eventually return home.
Nestor arrives at the house and announces that Miguel has finally arrived and the family are overjoyed to see the safe return of him and Cristobal.
The family are enjoying their evening when suddenly the lights in the house go out. Sensing something is wrong Miguel sends Nestor to investigate and quickly follows, outside he is apprehended by armed police. He stares sadly as Emily finally exits the house, knowing dark times are ahead.
"Cuervo/Tz'ikb'uul"[]
Dita finds the x-rays proving that Cristobal really died of pneumonia and wasn't in fact killed by the cartel like Devante had had her lie about to Miguel for years. She now knows Miguel knows the truth. He approaches her and she begins to apologise but he cuts her off, saying he blames Devante. Dita inquisitively asks about Devante's whereabouts, possibly knowing the grisly answer to her question already, she begins to sob as Miguel simply answers "It's done".
Dita speaks to Emily about the truth surrounding Cristobal's demise, Miguel has since learned that his brother was never slain by the cartel, it was all a lie created by Devante, his brother died of pneumonia. Dita asks Emily if she knew but Emily tells her she only found out once Miguel wanted to tell her. She tells Dita that she made an external choice and has to live with the repercussions.
Season 2[]
"Xbalanque"[]
Dita tells Emily that she is concerned that Miguel hasn't been around much to see Cristobal due to work. Emily brushes her off and Dita coldly remarks under her breath that he doesn't have a mother either.
Emily later has a meeting with business men to submit her building application. Dita interrupts to tell her that they need to be leaving for her therapist appointment soon, Emily explains that she isn't taking her today as Miguel was supposed to. Dita enquires that surely Miguel has more important thins to do to which Emily snaps that she does also, Dita leaves her to return to her meeting.
Dita listens to a disagreement taking place between Miguel and Emily. She heads to her bathroom and removes a wig and her gown, revealing an extremely large burn mark that travels down from her head to her back. This is in reference to a burned building we saw at the start of the episode that Miguel and Emily were discussing repairing.
"Xaman-Ek"[]
Emily, Miguel and Dita arrive at the city centre, Emily is working more on the building project and Dita sarcastically tells her that she works too much.
Dita leaves after finishing her session with the doctor, it seems to have been successful and Dita is very grateful to the doctor. She peers in to the waiting room to see that Miguel has gone and Nestor is there, she takes this as a chance to leave and slips out the back door alone.
Dita soon finds herself at a butcher shop in Santo Padre belonging to Felipe Reyes, she calls him "Ignacio" and he appears stunned to see her. They get in Felipe's truck and it becomes obvious that they know each other quite well. Dita explains that she has lives in the US for almost two years, since Cristobal Galindo, her grandson was born. She also explains that Miguel has lives in the US for ten years already. She stayed in Mexico until Jośe passed away and Devante also moved to the US to help Miguel. She then decided to move also.
Felipe enquires about how Dita knew where he was and she explains she has seen him outside the shop with his sons. Felipe quickly explains that his son's have no relation to his past but Dita reminds him that you can't erase the past and once again call him Ignacio. As Felipe drives her to her home where her family are anxiously waiting; he cryptically asks Dita "Did you ever find out?" to which Dita replies "Find out what?" before telling Felipe that they should meet again soon as she exits the car. Dita plays confused around Miguel and explains that she got disoriented and Felipe kindly agreed to drive her home. Miguel coldly stares at Felipe before thanking him and hurrying inside.
"Camazotz"[]
Dita listens to Miguel and Emily rowing over the agra park project the pair are working on, due to their shouting, Cristobal begins to sob and Dita rushes over to take him off Emily but she snaps at her not to touch him, Dita quickly apologises and briskly walks off.
Dita calls Felipe and explains that she had a dream he wrote her a letter and it was beautiful.
"Lahun Chan"[]
Dita calls Felipe and tells him to meet her later that day.
Dr. Luna meets Dita; she attempts to be welcoming to Dita and offers to shake her hand. Dita rudely brushes her aside, telling her that it won't be necessary. Dita immediately asks how much the session will cost, Dr. Luna tells her a price and Dita hands her $2,000. Dr. Luna tries to explain that payment comes afterwards and regardless, Miguel has already paid for numerous sessions. Dita continues by saying that she is going to take the money offered to her and provide regular updates and mark that Dita is making positive progress in her sessions. Dr. Luna attempts to protest telling Dita that she can't do something like that but she is threatened by Dita, who says that she will tell Miguel that Dr. Luna is a fraud and he will have her removed from the building she works in, which Miguel owns and her business will be gone. Dita claims it is a "win-win" if she just takes the money. Dita heads to the roof to await Felipe's arrival.
Felipe soon arrives and explains to Dita that Alvarez visited him the other day to ask questions but he is suspicious of him. Dita confesses to Felipe that her family won't allow her to be left alone as they think she is a danger to herself. During the fires she claims she hid and waited to die but was eventually saved by a firefighter, she took this as a sign that there was unfinished business in her life, specifically with Felipe. Dita drops the bombshell that Felipe is also the father of Miguel but nobody else knows. Dita realises her sessions is over and tells Felipe they will meet again soon before leaving.
"Tohil"[]
Dita watches a news report to see that a young man who works for the Santo Padre city council was murdered in his home last night. She laments to Emily how tragic it is as she and him were about the same age.
"Kukulkan"[]
Miguel drives Dita to her psychologist appointment and asks her to not get lost again. He departs afterwards. Dita heads inside with Paco. Once again she finds herself on the roof and summons Felipe to continue the story. Felipe demands to know what they are really doing. Dita explains that she knows they loved each other and her life hasn't been the same since he abandoned her years ago. Felipe explains it was too dangerous for them to be together and he fell in love with Isabel Varela, Marisol Reyes' birth name. Felipe apologises for hurting Dita all those years ago. Dita continues saying that she has done so much wrong in her life and that is the only reason she is still here and didn't die in the fire, she has to right the wrongs. Felipe promises to never tell Miguel about the fire. Dita departs.
Dita is later collected by Emily. She questions Dita as to why she chose to live outside of Jose's circle, even when he was working for the government. Dita cuts her off and asks what she has found, Dita simply tells Emily that the answers she seeks about old accounts are dead and buried.
"Itzam-Ye"[]
Dita senses a lot of tension between Miguel and Emily, she enquires about it but Miguel brushes her off. Dita heads outside to speak to Emily and confesses to her that she wanted to die in that fire all those months ago. Emily sadly says that she knows and asks if Devante's death is the reason why, Dita says that it is partly but mostly because she felt like she has no purpose anymore. Dita says she blames herself for the falling out between Emily and Miguel, they need to repair it before it's too late. She then receives a call from Felipe and hurries off to take it, Felipe tells Dita he needs a favour.
Dita returns to Emily and says she has booked a spa evening for them, Emily attempts to say she doesn't have time but Dita won't hear it, she asks Nestor to bring them. They arrive at the spa and Dita leads Emily out the back to where Felipe is waiting, Dita tells Emily she has about an hour and a half.
"Hunahpu"[]
Dita and Felipe meet on the roof for a final time. Felipe demands to know about the hit on him and Marisol. Dita admits it and explains it was a combination of jealousy and fear that led her to do it; she was jealous of how much Felipe loved Marisol, and she was worried that Felipe would tell Marisol about his affair with the married Dita and try to forge a connection with his son, Miguel.
It wasn’t until much later that Dita realized her mistake, and now she wants to pay for her sins; more specifically, she wants Felipe to kill her, since she tried and failed to end her own life. Dita then leaves Felipe alone on the rooftop.
Miguel sits with Dita and says he just wants to check on her. Dita explains she is happy and asks about him and Emily. Dita advises they find something to bring them back together. She also tells Miguel that she will be missing the ceremony for Galindo Enterprises new project tomorrow.
Dita is being driven around town by Javier and Paco. Javier steps out to collect something for her and Dita asks Paco to chase after him and ask him to collect something else, Paco exits the car and Dita quickly gets in the front, driving off.
Dita makes her way to the outskirts of the desert where Felipe meets her. Felipe refuses to do the deed and Dita explains that she knows he can't. Felipe is horrified to see his sons arrive, Dita explains that is why they are here. She explains that it will look like a suicide and nobody has to know. Felipe tries to reason with the pair but they walk past him; Dita explains that they are going to help her right a wrong, "mother for mother". Angel marches Felipe away as EZ steps up to Dita. She tries to apologize to him but he silences her, Dita falls to her knees and removes her wig, saying a prayer. EZ demands Dita look in to his eyes as he strangles her to death.
