Biography[]

Diaz, along with Marcus Alvarez is the founder of the Mayans Motorcycle Club. He's seen a lot in the 40 years he has been riding with the club, succeeding Alvarez as the President of the Oakland charter, after the latter relinquished the role to join the Galindo Cartel. Diaz was presumably previously the Vice Presidente.

Season 3[]

"What Comes of Handlin' Snakeskin"[]

Diaz and his charter arrive at a motel in Stockton where they find the Santo Padre Mayans. Diaz asks them to leave but Obispo "Bishop" Losa, their Presidente, refuses. The charters move inside to talk. Diaz is aware that Bishop wants to kill the other two Mayan Kings, Oscar "El Oso" Ramos and Canche. Diaz tells Bishop that Ramos reached out to him for his support against Santo Padre. Diaz recalls his first impressions of Bishop, whom Alvarez would bring around the club when Bishop was still young. Diaz notes that Bishop has always been in Alvarez's shadow and has done whatever Alvarez asked of him, including leaving his charter to found Santo Padre and turning the MC "in to Walmart" in the process of aligning more closely with Galindo. Bishop agrees that the club is becoming a corporation, only caring about money. Bishop asks Diaz to join him against the other Kings so the club can return to what it was - "motherfucking outlaws," as Diaz once knew it. Diaz seems to agree and shakes hands with Bishop. He says they will ride out once they have found Ramos.

Santo Padre becomes impatient waiting but Diaz assures them his guys are still looking for Ramos and they will leave as soon as he's been tracked down. He then offers Santo Padre a hit of the meth that he and Jinx, the Oakland VP, are smoking, but they refuse.

We later learn that Diaz has betrayed Santo Padre as Stockton Mayans arrive and an all out brawl between Oakland, Stockton, Santo Padre and Tucson breaks out. In the motel room, Bishop and Diaz fight but Bishop gains the upper hand and is able to brutally headbutt Diaz until he is a bloody, unconscious mess.

"Chapter the Last, Nothing More to Write"[]

Diaz meets with the other club presidents after Santo Padre has successfully killed Ramos and believe that they have killed Canche. Ibarra, the former Tucson Presidente who had his kutte pulled by Canche after discovering his agreement with Santo Padre, is also present and is trying to convince the others that Santo Padre is doing the right thing for the Mayans organization. Diaz asks Ibarra how the Mayans should deal with everything that's happened, and Ibarra responds that the brothers should "forgive each other our trespasses and move forward." After a moment, Diaz finally nods in assent. Ibarra goes to leave but Diaz stops him, bringing out his kutte and gesturing for Ibarra to turn around so he can assist him in putting it on. Diaz helps Ibarra into his kutte before declaring "fuck your trespasses, and fuck your king," shooting Ibarra in the back of the head as Canche appears behind him, very much alive.

Season 4[]

"Death of the Virgin"[]

Many charters later go to the Santo Padre clubhouse. They are holding a ceremony for those who died during the civil war in an attempt to heal the rift between Santo Padre and the rest of the club.

Diaz and Canche pull Alvarez aside and tell him that El Banquero has cut off their drug shipment due to the club failing to deliver his accountant alive.

Inside the club listen to a speech from Alvarez about reuniting the club and they honor their dead. Neron "Creeper" Vargas pays tribute to Pavia, Dondo to Ramos and Hank "Tranq" Loza to Esteban "Steve" Estrada most notably, as the other charters also honor their dead.

Diaz later joins Alvarez in Templo, trying to convince Alvarez to cut out the Santo Padre chapter. He insists that they divide of the club and that a club divided cannot stand. Diaz, noticing a picture Alvarez is holding, digs deep in trying to convince Alvarez to cut out Santo Padre. He reminds Alvarez that he has had no problem making tough calls in the past, having had his own son, Esai Alvarez, killed for the good of the club. Diaz reminds Alvarez that it was the right call and warns him that a similar call may need to be made with his cousin.

Diaz and Canche later watches as an all out brawl begins between the Santo Padre Mayans and the rest of the club before being stopped by Alvarez, who fires a round into the air. He addresses Diaz and says that maybe he was right about "cutting out the cancer."

"The Righteous Wrath of an Honorable Man"[]

The club attends Templo with Yuma, Stockton and Oakland. Alvarez announces that the war ends today and they will do it by wiping out all of SAMDINO. The rest of the club are dismissed whilst the Presidents address Alvarez. Alvarez insists on going to San Bernardino with his club to fight alongside them, but Diaz, Canche and Dondo refuse. Canche insists he will ride with Santo Padre in Alvarez' place. Diaz addresses Alvarez and claims that "We're old men, we had ours, this is their war; their time. Let them have it, let them earn it."

Season 5[]

"Do You Hear the Rain"[]

Alvarez and Diaz catch up, the two are reminiscing on old club times, in true twisted sense, it was when they were killing two brothers. They hear a door slam, and Alvarez tells Diaz that it is just Izzy Alvarez, his wife, she has been angry lately.

Diaz notes that Alvarez' life is simple, people dream about having his life, perhaps minus the baby he will soon be having. Alvarez can't help but mention the war, Diaz simply tells him not to worry about it, and tells him he should worry more about his family. Sarcastically noting that he can leave the dying to the rest of the club.

"To Fear of Death, I Eat the Stars"[]

Diaz and Jinx head to the Santo Padre clubhouse. "What the fuck did you motherfuckers do?!" Diaz screams as the room falls silent. Ezekiel "EZ" Reyes, Santo Padre Presidente approaches him and he begins to yell at him, screaming that they had a deal. EZ tells him that he had a deal, with Mayan enemies. Hank steps between the pair as Diaz becomes aggressive and asks what is going on. Diaz remarks that EZ hasn't told the club anything as he announces that EZ killed a member of SAMCRO. The room is stunned in to silence as EZ ushers Diaz and Jinx in to Templo. EZ passes by a drunk Bishop and invites him to join, but he refuses.

Inside Templo, EZ rolls out a map and explains to Diaz and Jinx that Happy Lowman was on their territory and he had it coming. Diaz says that Northern charters are going to suffer because of EZ's actions. EZ states that today he has made a deal and the Mayans now own the pipeline in California. Diaz is honestly impressed but asks about the Sons and the Grim Bastards bond. EZ figures that Isaac, the insane SAMDINO President has caused deep issues for the Sons, the fact that Lucky, the President of the Bastards approached him with an offer of peace shows that their relationship is fraught and just needs to swing the other way. Hank takes two wads of cash out of his pockets and places them down for Jinx and Diaz, EZ notes that it is the future.

The four exit Templo and EZ invites Oakland to stay for a drink, Diaz refuses, stating he needs to see Alvarez. EZ and Diaz hug as Diaz notes, "We'll see about that future". Diaz turns to leave when Guero runs up on him and shoots him in the back of the head.
