"I'm not a liar!"
―Desmond, to Charlie Barosky

Desmond Hurligan is a pawn shop owner and member of the Stockton Police Department on the FX original series Sons of Anarchy. Played by American actor Tony Denison, Desmond is believed to have been the one that tipped off the Chinese about the location of SAMCRO's guns at the warehouse. He meets his demise during his only appearance, on the episode "Some Strange Eruption" in the series' seventh, and final, season.

Biography[]

Background[]

Desmond is a pawn shop owner who also works at the Stockton Police Department.

Season 7[]

"Some Strange Eruption"[]

Barosky suggests that SAMCRO pay a visit to Hurligan when they bring up that Barosky and his men were the only one outside of SAMCRO who knew about where their guns were located (as Barosky doesn't trust Hurligan and he was the one on port patrol at the time of the break-in). After Tig threatens to shove a flute up his ass when he is uncooperative, Hurligan tells them that someone called him and offered to pay $2,000 for Hurligan to avoid going on port patrol the previous night. Barosky, however, doesn't trust that someone that Hurligan doesn't know called him out the blue and happened to get his number. As the two argue back and forth, Barosky shoots him in the head, believing that he is lying. ("Some Strange Eruption") Although it is likely Barosky actually killed him to cover the fact he (Barosky) had informed to Lin. It can even be assumed that Barosky was the person who supplied Hurligan phone number to the Lin Triad.
