Agent Anna Linares was a US Government Agent in Mayans MC, a spinoff of the FX original series Sons of Anarchy. Portrayed by Israeli actress Efrat Dor, Linares makes her debut appearance in the season two premiere, "Xbalanque" and plays a recurring role throughout season two, three and four.
Biography[]
Linares is a no nonsense government agent working closely with Lincoln Potter in his attempt to stop the Galindo Cartel and Los Olvidados. A stern woman in a line of work ruled by males, she works hard to be respected and takes great pride in her job. She often feuds with Potter due to the latter being outlandish and bizarre.
Season 2[]
"Xbalanque"[]
Linares and Potter are driving, he enquires about Los Olvidados activity and Linares tells him that all is quiet and reels off a list of damages done to Los Olvidados. Potter then enquires about Adelita, who is revealed to be pregnant; Linares confirms there have been no sightings of her either. Potter begins to enquire about Linares' nails before randomly announcing he no longer wets the bed.
Linares and Potter return to base where they link up with Hobart. He has shocking news that all of his men were killed when they worked with the Mayans Motorcycle Club and the cartel in an attempt to take down a Los Olvidados safehouse. Hobart explains that when he left his men had captured a young girl affiliated with Los Olvidados. Potter begins to grow concerned that the intel he had gotten from the safehouse may be fraudulent.
Linares later makes a call to Marcus Alvarez, Miguel Galindo's advisor to explain the situation and that security is going to be upped in an attempt to find Adelita.
"Camazotz"[]
Potter and Linares return to Miguel's house. Miguel, Alvarez and Emily Galindo, Miguel's wife step outside. Potter explains that he has a proposal for Miguel but he attempts to dismiss it saying he is fully booked today, Potter simply informs Miguel that he in fact doesn't have anything scheduled for the day. Sensing the threat, Miguel agrees. Alvarez says he will be coming too but Linares refuses.
Miguel, Linares and Potter cross the border. Potter tells Miguel a cryptic story about a women he used to be involved with, Miguel asks her name but sensing the lack of innocence in his question Potter simply ignores him.
They arrive at a farm where there is a sermon of sorts happening. Potter explains it is all due to Los Olvidados. Miguel is shocked to see Sederica Palomo, a politician fighting the Los Olvidados cause. Potter questions why she would be involved with Los Olvidados as she is everything they hate. Potter explains that they think that whilst Adelita was in hiding she began to create powerful allies and Palomo is one of them. This kind of reach could send Los Olvidados to new heights of power. Potter explains that he wants Miguel to get Palomo "bloody".
"Xquic"[]
Potter and Linares, upon hearing news that Adelita has been captured by Hobart, go to their safehouse. Potter is infuriated to see that Hobart has locked Adelita in a dog cage as they didn't have a cell. Potter is surprisingly kind to Adelita, offering her to be checked over by a doctor and allowing her to use the bathroom to clean up. Potter discussed the capture with Linares. He was informed that when Hobart tracked Adelita, Miguel was already there and assisted in the capture; Linares agrees but brushes it off. Potter tells Hobart that they will transport Adelita tomorrow. Linares and Potter then speak to Adelita. Adelita cuts to the chase to ask what they want from her. Potter very coldly replies that she will be held until her child is born and then she will be tortured for information; if that doesn't work then her baby will be used as leverage.
Potter and Linares plan to move Adelita, they liaise with Alvarez whilst Potter then heads out to speak to Miguel personally. Linares later receives a call from Potter telling her to change the transportation plan as he can't figure out what Miguel is doing.
Potter and Linares await by the border to secure Adelita, Linares checks in on the agents transporting Adelita and they confirm everything is going to plan. They receive another call a few minutes later to state that they are being tailed and bullets begin to fly, they hear their agents being slaughtered over the phone.
"Muluc"[]
Potter and Linares learn that Adelita has successfully been delivered after the convoy carrying her was hijacked. They have more questions than answers however as the agents carrying Adelita were dead and she was just standing at the scene, the vehicles that attacker the convey were found burnt with no trace of who was behind the assault.
Miguel visits Linares to explain the Alvarez situation, he has been kidnapped. Linares denies having any involvement but Miguel is sure it is Potter's doing.
Potter later asks Linares to pull information on Felipe Reyes.
"Hunahpu"[]
Potter and Linares link up upon hearing news that Adelita has finally given birth. Potter wants to know who the father is and tells Linares to move Adelita to the interrogation wing.
Linares arrives with DNA results for Adelita's baby, the results confirm that Angel Reyes of the Mayans is the father of the child. Potter orders the baby is taken away.
Season 3[]
"Pap Struggles with the Death Angel"[]
Linares approaches another agent who is watching Adelita closely. Anna tells the agent that Mexico want Adelita extradited and that Potter has signed off on it, despite being on leave in San Diego. The agent expresses concern that Adelita will be killed the moment she arrives in Mexico, Linares agrees.
"The Orneriness of Kings"[]
Linares and other agents arrive at the rendezvous to hand Adelita over to Mexican forces, some vehicles soon arrive and the trade off is completed. Another agent is skeptical of the trade but Linares says that if they don't hand over Adelita they will just get someone else to. Adelita is taken out of the truck and handed over to the Mexican's, as Linares walks her over she whispers an apology in Adelita's ear, knowing they will likely kill her.
"Chapter the Last, Nothing More to Write"[]
Linares sits at a restaurant and is joined by Adelita, she is shocked to see her and tells her she is relieved in a weird way. Assuming that she was dead after being released by Potter. Linares explains to Adelita that her son is dead and Potter shipped her off to Mexico to cover it up, he shut down the Santo Padre border out of spite and all Linares gets nothing for all her hard work after she tried to expose Potter. Linares takes out a cigarette and says she had to hide it from her husband and that keeping secrets seems pointless in the long run. She asks Adelita if she can make a phone call to say goodbye but she refuses. Linares apologises stating that Potter is a monster and she's sorry she didn't do more. Adelita asks if she is a mother to which she confirms; Adelita says she isn't going to kill her and she just wants to know where Potter is. Linares questions how Adelita knows she won't warn Potter and Adelita says it is because she is a mother.
Linares explains she needs to reach in to her purse, she first puts her hand on her gun but thinks better of it, instead taking out a pen and paper; she writes down Potter's location and reminds Adelita to not listen to a word Potter says. Adelita then leaves stating that the conversation will be short.
Season 4[]
"Death of the Virgin"[]
Linares and her husband, Scott are attacked by Adelita who has come to take her baby back after they adopted him, Potter revealed the truth to Adelita after she confronted him. Linares is attacked first and puts up a good fight before being stabbed multiple times in the back. She later hears Scott being killed somewhere else in her home. Adelita returns and shoots her to death.
